I was able to have mine signed by Duane Gish,
Not to drag this too far off topic...but I have to know...how did you manage to get Gish to sign the book? Did he not know what he was signing? Or did he write something that says the book is basically trash?
It is, I agree, and excellent book. I'd kill to have Gish sign mine too. I do have a signed copy of Gould's "Full House" (signed by Gould...not Gish ). I had the honor of picking him up at the airport and then driving him around town (he wanted to see the old town architecture) when he was in Mount Pleasant a number of years ago to give a presentation.
To get this somewhat back on topic...it is interesting that Shermer, in that book, basically states the same thing about the similarities between holocaust deniers and creationists (i.e. fundies).

First off, I've never heard of the expression holocaust denier.
I find this very difficult to believe. Seriously, on what Planet do you live? Have you never heard of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad...or Iran?

You really need to get out a bit more. Maybe do some reading or watch some news.

I am sure if we probed you, we would find out that you have missed many obvious things in your own life.
But this is not some sort of "new" trivial, one time event. Holocaust deniers have been around for decades. You would have had to have missed literally hundreds of "news" events to have not heard of these people.

I am betting you don't, and to criticize me, makes you a hypocrite. Open your mind a bit.
I'm not claiming to know everything. But you'd be hard pressed to come up with an "event" as relatively common as holocaust deniers that I have not heard of. Not that there's none out there...there might very well be. But then, of course, since (by definition) I would be unaware of it...I can't think of any . Besides, this sort of thing (holocaust deniers) has been all over the place the last few months. Missing it completely is amazing.
