I'll tell you something that's made me rather unhappy - the fact that
The Golden Compass (from the book Northern Lights by Philip Pullman), which is being released as a feature-film later this year, is having the Christianity of the villains toned down, apparently, in order to stop God-botherers getting into a state in the States. That's dumb enough, but I wonder how they are going to tone down the final book, which centre's around the premise that the Christian God is suffering from Altzheimers. Hmmm?
