On the one hand, I believe that these people should be able to protest whatever the heck they want, the police or lawmakers shouldn't stop them because free speech is their right. That being said, however, as a private citizen and someone planning on joining the USMC I would beat the crap out of anyone that protested at one of my buddies’ funerals.
The thing that really gets me about these people is the pictures of the kids with the "Thank god for IEDs" signs or the "God hates fags" t-shirts. Adults doing crazy shit is one thing, but brainwashing your children is something else entirely.
If I didn't know better I'd say their views are so far out there that they must be making it up just to get people angry.

Well, ok, so you think that lawmakers should allow social chaos and fighting in the streets to protect the right of bigots to verbally harass grieving families?
I think a lot depends on what specifically the laws are stating with regards to the restrictions of the protests. If it is to allow no protesters within, say 100 ft of the cemetery then I am fine with that. What I am worried about is the banning of protest far outside of the funeral. I agree with you that obviously whatever restrictions are put in place it should be based on location rather than content.
ps Been playing wow much?
