I want you to stop preaching at us for a moment and simply talk to me..in brief sentences...OK?
1) Anil Antony, how did you come to believe what you do? In other words, how did you meet DattaSwami?2) What is it that you want me and everyone else at EvC to know? (Briefly! No long dialogue, please!) 3) Tell us a bit about yourself personally. Where did you grow up? Do you work or are you a spiritual employee of the church? I dont want you to preach at me! I want to know why you think the way that you do, not what you think.
Tell me how you grew up. Explain why you believe as you do...in other words, what experiences brought you to these truths that you say? I will be more likely to read what you have to say once I know you. Be Brief, and be real. You say that you are not spamming. This means, then, that you must tell us about yourself...not about the message that you represent. We can discuss that later. This message has been edited by Phat, 02-02-2006 09:13 AM

What type of scientist are you? (By the way, you can meet me in chat right now...if you want to discuss this stuff further) Push the CHAT button in the upper panel
Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either, but right through every human heart, and through all human hearts. This line shifts. Inside us, it oscillates with the years. Even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained; and even in the best of all hearts, there remains a small corner of evil. --Alexander Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago

Anil Antony lends administrative and organizational support to the National Center on Student Progress Monitoring. He has been with the American Institutes for Research since November 2002. In addition to his work on the National Center on Student Progress Monitoring, he supports the Office of Special Education Programs through his work on AIR's OSEP Multiple Award Task Order, and also contributes to the National Center for Technology Innovation, another OSEP-funded Center . Anil graduated from Dartmouth College in June 2002 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. Is this you, Anil? Again, we want to know you first...we can discuss the beliefs later! Tell us about Dartmouth.

Anil writes: Human beings are trying to understand and sometimes may write commentaries on the word of Lord. But, how do you say that they understood the concept properly and the concepts written by them are correct? Im gonna flip your question back at you..How do you know that the concepts you are taught and have read are correct? How did you meet the Swami? Tell us, (briefly!) how you grew up and what you were taught about spirituality and religion as a youth.

I have known a few "holy" men and many more imposters and not-so-holy ones. When I first had an impartation and an awareness from God, I strong believed (and still believe) that it was real, but after experience, prayer, and study throughout the past ten years, I conclude (so far) that God imparts the ability to love the undesireable, wisdom to understand the implausible (by human standards) that He has preordained, and patience to embrace the uncomfortable (to my flesh and lusts)
BUT...I have never met anyone whom I would consider to be an actual incarnation of God....aside from the Holy Spirit. Be honest with me: Is there any money involved in any way with the Swami? In other words, do people support him and freely give him their money? Surely if He were an incarnation of God, he would have no need of such materialistic concepts.

Quite a lot of topics that you post! I stumbled upon them while googling your term, Karma Phala Tyaga !
BRIEFLY TELL ME: 1)Why is it that you personally feel led to do this? 2) If you really care about us as people, I think you need to get to know us a bit better. So far, you are having a good discussion! Keep the replies short and concise! Its more effective to spend a little time actually reaching a few people through dialogue rather than attempting to broadcast to many people---most of whom wont read what you have to say! BTW do you do Yoga?

You are preaching, again! How do YOU get along with your natural family? Do you consider them as close as the group of devotees who you worship with? Tell us how many of you there are (around this Swami)
BTW Im not looking to attack the Swami---I just want some honest answers from your thinking mind!

dattaswami writes: Unless we make a sincere effort by serving the lord in human form we will be always locked up in the vicious circle of birth and death, and never will get salvation. Thus it is essential to catch hold of the lord in human form, to first learn the true divine knowledge and after wards do some service with love and without any expectation. But the path is very very tough. Jesus also told the same. Many will try but very few will enter. NIV writes: Human form?
John 4:22-2423 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." NIV writes: Rev 19:10 10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Am I misinterpreting these scriptures, Anil? (Be Brief!) A simple "yes" or "no" will suffice. I am challenging you to use your mind and tell me what YOU believe and not so much what you have been taught. By the way, do you practice Yoga? Hello, dattaswami! Blessings and peace and all that good stuff!
I have a question for you: What do you know about Sikhism? This is what I found out, and I pulled it from Wikipedia and another website, so I am unsure of its validity. Tell me what you think, dattaswami! Forbidden Edited to remove my own lengthy cut n paste~~Phat This message has been edited by Phat, 03-31-2006 11:35 PM

dattaswami writes: I don't understand what you are saying at all. I cant quite understand your words, and I noticed that AdminJar has warned you about inserting cut and pastes from what someone else has written! Let us analyse it If you are an honest man, and if this stuff is to be found elsewhere in a link, just give me the link and say nothing more. Don't attempt to blog the entire link here! I simply want to know if you have heard of Sikhism and whether or not you agree with their stated theogical philosophy!

To the rest of you, I know that I myself inserted the cut and paste on Sikhism, and I readily admit that I don't quite understand it. If anyone wants to pick this discussion up and discuss Sikhism, lets do so.
Otherwise, maybe we should just close this thread down. What do you think, DG?
