If this sort of thing is allowed, even on a thread like this, how can you expect civility?There is a massive, continual level of vitriol, insults, and false accusations, at times bordering on paranoia as shown in the comment above, hurled by evos at anyone that dares to criticize their beliefs. The vilest accusations are thrown out with no substantiation and seemingly almost no self-awareness within the evo community here.This message has been edited by randman, 12-28-2005 02:43 AM

The problem jar is it is a delusion on you guy's part that the reason people don't agree with you is that they are unreasonable. In other words, it is a lie.But you make my point about a total lack of self-awareness nicely.

I have. Maybe you are too biased to know. Like believing and teaching a hoax for 125 years, and then when exposed, some evos still try to defend it ad nauseum. I agree, which is why I bring up Haeckel...a lot.

After awhile, I do get to repeating the same data, but keep in mind Haeckel is not a vile accusation but a historical fact on how evolution has been presented. It was not creationists that created the hoax, the false claims, and spread them and refused for so many years to adjust, and even today some evos here still defend the deceptive practices.You list things done by some religious groups, such as Catholic priests molesting kids I presume, but you fail to distinquish, that unlike you evos, plenty of Christians decried the whole concept of RC priesthood and all of it's abuses for a very, very long time whereas you evos for the most part kept on teaching the hoaxes as true until it was no longer tenable since creationists had access to the internet and just hammered away at it, and some evos finally had to do a study to back up their claims and found those claims to be hoaxes.It took 125 years...think about that...and you call that science?

Faith, I suspect he said the same things about the creationists here before and treated them with the same rudeness and disrespect and then is shocked how anyone could dare think he unreasonable!

nwr, you guys really don't get it. Sure, I started to treat you guys with a similar level of civility, but at least I back up my claims with facts. If I say you guys resort to overstatements and hoaxes, I list some examples. You guys just make baseless charges that your critics are unreasonable, ignorant, etc,....with no substantiation whatsoever.
