Is Christ cruel? (For member Schrafinator)

You know Brian, I was thinking just the same thing the other day. The christian God must be evil, why, otherwise, does he play with us like mice in a maze otherwise?If he is all-powerful and all-seeing, he must already know which of us will pass his tests and fail, the winners and the losers. Why are we playing this game, why doesn't he just move all the winners to heaven now and shut down the maze? If he as powerful as the christians says, he could just summon all of the "winners" who have and will exist to Heaven. The only reason i can come up with is that he likes to fuck with our heads. Only an evil or mad God would act in such a fashion.

I sense an attempt at preaching... (and an element of projection as well).

That's all well and good but doesn't actually address any of my (or Brian's) points.

See this is a prime example - an all-powerful God must know every person who has existed, exists and WILL exist that will accept his message. So why do he not just lift them all off to heaven? because he likes to fuck with our heads.

Again you miss my point - if I am going to believe in the future - he must already know! So what's the point of the experiment. He could just "poof" all the people who would believe straight into existance in heaven.No I'm afraid your evil head-fucking god is not for me. Galactus strikes me as a more realistic prospect.
