The alleged geologist non-admin mode (minnemooseus) finds the Gentry and/or rightw/god position to be badly flawed, but the admin mode does see this topic and its opening message to be a good launching point to a discussion that hasn't previously happened here at .
Will promote topic. Stand by.

Note: Adminnemooseus did some content editing in message 1
Gentry proved his theory by finding the age of halos inside the granite. the half life of them all was extraordinarily close. Based on this theory many people now refer to granite as a "Genesis Rock"
I may have been a bit premature in approving this topic. I request that the above quoted be excluded from the discussion in this topic. Look for topics in the Dates and Dating forum, if you wish to discuss "halos".
Admins do not normally edit messages for content, but I am going to do a rare exception to the rule, and delete that paragraph. The deleted text will be preserved in this message.

Unpromoting this topic - Closing - Sorry
I have decided that I made a substantial mistake in promoting this topic from the "Proposed New Topics" forum. I should have asked for revisions.
The geologic thoughts of message 1 are badly flawed (non-admin mode opinion). Despite or perhaps because of this, I (admin mode) thought the topic had a lot of potential for interesting discussion - Thus I got over enthusiastic and did the promotion.
I encourage you to submit a new version of your thoughts of this topic, as a new "Proposed New Topic". As per what I already said in this topic, please keep the halo considerations out of the message. They have been and are better covered in the "Dates and Dating" forum.
I do like the topic potential. But I do think it needs to get off to a better start.
I suggest Granite as a "Genesis Rock" as the new topic title. You can mention Robert Gentry in the text of message 1.
Closing this version of the topic.
Other than the proposing a new topic, responses to this message should go to the "Considerations" topic, link below.
