The Jesus Chronology

I suggest a look into Gnosticism and the Pagan Mysteries. this suggests the origins of the new testament lie in developed pagan myths and imagery. The gnostic christians also had a large number of extra gospels which seem to more along the line of the Pagan mysteries. Some scholars believe that the Roman Church was born out of the literalists who took the stories and imagery of Jesus to be historically true, when it was in fact just an analogy to aid initiates in their exploration to find their daemon and ultimately know god.
