Can you walk awhile with an old man?
Question?
If you and I made a deal, a pact, would you expect me to honor it?

Okay, so if we had a pact you'd expect me to keep it.
Suppose a little later I also made another seperate pact with Nosy. Would you expect me to keep that pact as well?

Re: Can you walk awhile with an old man?
But since I've now made a new pact with Nosy would you still expect me to stand by my old pact with you?

Re: Can you walk awhile with an old man?
Dispensationalism, however, does not teach that the old Kingdom will not occur.
Ah, a contrivence of man to prove a strongly held point of view.
But that is something outside anything we have discussed. Here, by bringing up Dispensationalism, you are trying to revise the terms of a pact, a pact made between other independant individuals.
The stories of the Rapture are IMHO simply more obfuscation and an attempt to become exclusionary.
GOD made a pact with the Jews.
GOD made a pact with the Christians.
They are not related in anyway.

Re: A matter of opinion and belief
Well, it's likely that the author of the Gospel of Luke was a native of Antioch and most likely never meet Jesus or even anyone who had known Jesus.

The creation of Christianity.
As Christianity began to differentiate itself from Judaism, there came a split between the various factions. The group around James and that around Mary lost out in the struggle and were submerged by the Pauline factions of newer apostles. Much from that period has been lost and it is only now beginning to come to light.
Does the initial question in this thread actually revolve around the creation of Christianity and do we need to be looking at what became of Thomas, James, Mary and the other early leaders in the church as well as the advent of the Pauline, John influence?

What was GODs specific pact with Christians?
I don't know of any pact between God and Christians.
My point is that a pact between God and Jews is not transferable to Christians.

Of course, you will then resort to your belief that the Bible was written by man and that humans made up all of this! I like the idea that God has revealed a bit more of Himself to each generation throughout History. Comments?
Not quite. I will resort to the actual evidence instead of my belief and let the conclusion be determined by the evidence not what I like.
The whole "the Jews rejected God's offer" gambit only makes the God character small and picayune; petty and mean.
