Music on both sides

As my name implies, I'm planning to become a Christian minister, although I am an 'Evilutionist' as deemed by some of my peers.Progressive music is the best, and if you don't know what progressive music is, then you need to kick yourself. Rock and country are prime examples, and being half redneck and half latino I can't help but like country and mariachi, while rock is just awesome and everyone needs to listen to it. Red Hot Chili Peppers- Californication, Other Side, Fortune Faded
Linkin Park-Breaking the Habit, Feint
Randy Travis- 3 Wooden Crosses, Better Class of LosersMan, could there be any more awesomeness on one post than all those songs mentioned together? Wait, let me think, NO. So far it looks like most people on this forum prefer classic rock. I'll boldly assert that the average level of intelligence and/or wisdom is much higher on this forum than the general public, and with that in mind I've noticed that progressive music of some kind is preferred to more unorthodox music like rap and hip hop(on this forum). I wonder if that says anything about rap being for stupid people, or rock being the soundtrack of science? Maybe not; either way I really hope we can get more people replying to this, because it'd be really interesting to see what kind of music some people on here listen to. Specifically Nosey Ned and Mike the Wiz because I can't really think of any music compatible with either of them....And am I the only one on here who listens to country?! Come on, there's gotta be some fellow rednecks on here!

Verzem, your taste is admirable with the exception of not liking modern rock and liking shania twain(I don't care for her because she sounds like my air conditioner when it's turned up high).By the way, which 'side' are you on in the debate generally, out of curiousity?

Okay, you just earned some awesome points because Waylon Jennings is badass. "I've Always Been Crazy" could be my theme song...but then again, lots of songs could be my theme song. "Turn the Page" by Bob Seger AND Metallica is another awesome song because ANYBODY can make that song sound good. Even my grandpa.
