No, I get it. I just wanted to know why they cracked it!
Seems pretty pointless to me.

Re: Omni
Now is my chance to ask you, Omni. I have always liked the way your screen name works with your avatar: that creature with big orange eyes that catch everything.
But what is that thing?

Origin of Lithodid-Man
A mild mannered graduate student until bitten by a radioactive king crab....
King crabs and their relatives are highly modified members of the superfamily Paguroidea (hermit crabs) and are placed in the family Lithodidae ('stone crabs' not to be confused with the famous Florida stone crab, unrelated). While most people are familiar the king crabs, this family contains a good number of smaller, really bizarre crabs that look downright alien (Google image search for Lithodes megacantha, Cryptolithodes, Lopholithodes, Phyllolithodes, and Hapalogaster). So I really like lithodid crabs, studying them, keeping them as pets, and eating them. Hence the name!

Elim Garak: "My dear Doctor, they're all true"
Doctor Bashir: "Even the lies?"
Elim Garak: "Especially the lies"

My name goes back to my Everquest 1 days. The only class I would play was the druid, a master of escape ... the name "Vacate" simply seemed logical. I have a long list of alter ego's going back to my D&D days, but my most favourite are simply Vacate (eq1) and Ssyzr (eq2)

Tarsier
I believe my avatar is actually a Spectral Tarsier (Tarsius tarsier) which has the greatest eye to body ratio of any mammal.
They have many traits I find congenial: they are our cousins, the females vocalize their sexual receptivity, they are omnivores, and they tend to cause themselves considerable injury or even death when caged.
Tarsier
When I began casting about for an avatar, Parasomnium suggested this one and even provided the image.

Trékhurid? That one was quite the invention indeed
It involves assigning each letter in the alphabet a "code" made up by the next letter, the current letter, and the previous letter. So, the letter R would have the code SRQ. So, take the word... and wait... I will finish this up soon... I just have to go to sleep really quick.

i was looking for a pen name. it started out in a very emo fashion and after four years, it's stuck. i have friends who know my only by breanna and i even sorta dated a guy for a while who thought it was my real name. if i thought i could get away with it, i'd change my name to brenna since i like it much better than my own and my grandmother, for whom i am named, is a bitch.
sadly, what's really holding me back is that i'd have to explain the name change on applications and stuff. it's simply too difficult. transcripts transcripts transcripts.

There is a cartoon character called Calimero (a chick with half an egg shell for a hat), he has a duck friend named Barry (my name is Be'ery) so my friends call me Kalimero.
As for the avatar:
*delta = change
*species = species
*division sign = over
*time = time
put them all together and you get: "change in species over time"

Gota love the simpsons
I got it off a hair dryer.
Homer: So I want the monogram to read "M-A-X P-O-W ... "
Employee: Sir, traditionally, a monogram is just initials.
Homer: Max Power doesn't abbreviate. Each letter is as
important as the one that preceded it. Maybe more
important! No, as important.
Employee: [sighing] Very well.
Homer: And if you've got enough room, add some exclamation
points and a pirate flag.

Mine was going to be a temporary name that I used on my first post on EVC in order to seem more like a YEC. I was teaching a high school debate class for home schoolers (again, that made me seem YEC, too) and I wanted folks to be riled up enough to post a lot of anti-creationist arguments.
It backfired. It did rile them up, but mostly they rebuked me for leading young people astray and I got no evolution arguments at all.
Sigh...
Then when I went to change it, the folks on here told me I ought to keep it because it suited me. That was quite a compliment, so I did keep it.
