life of brian
dogma
er
life of brian
not a move but the new Battlestar Galactica series has got some very interesting undercurrents re: God and the nature of.
omen
exorsist.
another good one was Contact. that one got me thinking especially the lines about proving that you love your father and "someone who thinks the other 95% are deluding themselvies"

I heard The Omen was good, I have to watch that sometime, I've never seen it. I suppose I'll look into Life of Brian now, 2 referals is good for me.

My favorite was...
City of Angels (Nicholas Cage)
The best part was hilarious...when he decides to become mortal cause he loves the girl and then she gets hit by a car and dies LOL, welcome to mortality jackass! Just kidding, boy did that movie suck.
Angels in the Outfield--sucked
My God You Devil (George Burns)--not too sucky
I listed bad ones cause all the good ones were taken.
BTW, Constantine was AWESOME! I saw it on mushrooms...whew!
It could've done without the holy cross flashlight shotgun though.

Ahahahahhaha! That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw it in the theater! My girlfriend was blubbering away and I was thinking 'no kidding Sherlock!"

A lot of films have already been mentioned that I would put on the list, a couple that I’d like to add
Frailty - Bill Paxton is a single father who is instructed by God to go out and kill people that God has told him are evil demons. His 2 sons are taken along to help. An interesting thriller.
The Apostle - Ok, not really a film with a theological plot as such, but an interesting story of a Southern preacher who goes off the rails a little. Played brilliantly by Robert Duvall.

I thought someone would beat me to it but my vote goes to Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty.

Oh I hated City of Angels. I never understood what people saw in that movie.
Would Carnivale, on HBO, count? Not really a movie since it's a series, but I am really enjoying it.
Favorites:
The Omen
Stigmata
Se7en
Dogma
Seven Years in Tibet
Raiders of the Lost Ark (and the third one, too)
The Cup

Wow, Jar! I had my socks knocked off by that one about 1968, and hadn't thought of it in years!
Why not Ghost?
{I'm kidding......}

Sure if we are including Greek mythology. But then we can include half the films out there.

here's one I just saw, The Omega Code. I actually just watched it today, at my college we have a program that networds computers (certain folders) together and allows us to download from them at T1 connection speeds so people burn DVD's to their comp and thousands of people share the burned movies. It also allows us to download from other colleges as well so I basically can see any movie .

I'm amazed - the word on my street is that its a Hollywood abomination.
That said, has anyone seen thew movie who is also familiar with the original Hellblazer graphic novels?
