Yes, they are.
And you're a strange guy, Hambre.

And incidentally, it looks like Dan is smoking again.
Looks like he's either trying to quit or else doing new stuff.

What happened to Rrhain, Rei and schrafinator?...and I vote to force Quetzal to post again...it is just not the same without him. I am sure Mr. Hambre feels the same way about Rrhain

What happened to Rrhain
Well, if he's was into theatre, maybe he's part of a production that went into performance. That would render him rather busy, I think.
Or else DNAunion ran him out of town. Too bad, I liked Rrhain better...

I missed the DNAunion vs Rrhain battle...on the other hand, DNAunion disappeared as well.

It's been a couple of weeks since we've heard from either Dan Carroll or Mammuthus, two of my favorite posters. (If I stop posting suddenly, call the cops on Moose.) I can't watch that Eliza Dushku show without thinking of trouserless Dan perched in front of the TV with a jar of lube. And considering the ratings, obviously I won't be able to watch it much longer. Mammuthus is a great help when I want to learn more about a certain subject, with his gentle suggestions to 'get a fucking clue' and 'use that arse you call a brain,' followed by a lengthy list of abstracts.
And why hasn't our new batch of hyper-fundies been subjected to the Rrhain treatment? I miss the way he has these critters skipping in circles like a philosophical border collie. Rei hasn't been heard from in a while, and I used to wonder how she could fire off so many detailed, substantial posts in so little time.
I still wonder what happened to Parasomnium. A tea-drinker with a Thunderbirds avatar and a Douglas Adams tag-line, he nevertheless claimed he wasn't British. However, he said he read and enjoyed Darwin's Dangerous Idea, one of the best books I ever read.
regards,
Esteban "Auld Lang Syne" Hambre

I was wondering about Rrhain, he certainly left a mark here.

The earth is flat.

The Moose is mightier than the mammoth...
Hi Hambre,
I have been around the entire time in lurker mode. I suspect Dan has been as well (either that or their is an Eliza Dushku show we don't know about that is keeping him occupied...like a Paris Hilton downloadable video sequel). Besides being extremely busy, the entire Moose anti-humor-protect-those-poor-creationists campaign ( specifically Syamsu) has completely soured me to the forum. I asked Moose to support Syamsu's statements since Sy refuses or explain why he has systematically picked off the likes of Scott Page, Darwinsterrier and is making a great effort to knock crashfrog off. He ignored the request and has since then been posting himself in the humor section and completely ignoring any and all forum rule violations by Syamsu and many other creationists. So I figure, I'm really very busy, none of the creationists on this site are interested in hearing what a scientist has to say anyway (since being ignorant must be so much fun), nobody will read any of the references I post, I don't even live in the U.S. anymore...so I figure to hell with it...more time for research. I will lurk until Moose picks you, Quetzal, mark24, holmes, schraf and crashfrog off. Then I will stop even that. EvC is just not as interesting or fun anymore. In any case, I am giving Moose his big birthday, Xmas, and groundhog day present wrapped up all in one nice package. I am out of here like Page and DT and he did not even have to go to the trouble of suspending or banning me. He can enjoy Syamsu's lucid and informative posts in peace (though he may have to suspend or ban Mr. Bound to get that peace back). I'm taking a break of indefinite length. If you need a reference barrage once in a while you can contact me through Percy.

Re: The Moose is mightier than the mammoth...
I hope you'll reconsider. I haven't had much direct interaction with you, but I always read your posts (at least wherever I've noticed them). You are one of the more knowledgeable posters here; I think it'd be a great loss if you were to leave.

Re: The Moose is mightier than the mammoth...
For what it's worth, I've been on vacation the last week, but generally lurking in self-imposed exile apart from that.
Gonna take a quick spin by the "change in moderation" thread, and then I think it's back to exile.
Oh, and I miss you too, Hambre, but keep me out of your lubed-up imagination. For the last time, I'm not interested.
