ONE scientist thought the tooth might be from an ape (the teeth are similar). An artist for a popular magazine (not a peer reviewed scientific journal) made an imaginative drawing that the caption even referred to as "...merely the expression of an artist's brilliant imaginative genius."The majority of scientists of the time didn't even think it might be a primate tooth, let alone a human ancestor.

Being told that you seem gullible is not an insult. I know you won't believe me, but if enough ppl seem to think that your knowledge is faulty maybe that is a hint that you need to study more. If you continue to repeat old stories that many people have told you are false, yet instead of looking deeper into it you refuse to listen, then yes a label of gullible fits.In school, if you get a bad grade on a test do you claim the teacher insulted you? from what i have just read i am dead on about lucys knee joint, just because the finder didnt put it in writing doesnt mean he didnt admit it, and he wasnt the only one to admit it.

Umm, about Lucy's "knee joint" it wasnt a knee joint they found over a mile away and 3 stratus layers down. Knee joints are cartalidge. It was the bones in the knee, and they proved that Lucy didnt walk upright. Another thing, Lucy's toes and feet were grasping and curled, like an apes, not a humans.
