Chase,
I suspect some of the nastier posts by techristian resulted in some of the better discussions being deleted. As you recall, he was blaming evolution for Naziism, murder etc. Anyway, your original discussion was worth pursuing. Did you save the material? I pretty much save longer posts and create web pages for questions that always pop-up. Don't get discouraged, keep posting.
Cheers

We could start again? Where were we ... you had just agreed that evolution was a sound theory and we were introducing you to revolutionary marxism, was that it?

--Hm.. Well I sertaintly hope techristian didn't cause that type of a ruckuss, even if he was making such claims, personally (well I'm not percy) whether evo or YEC, they just make themselves look bad, and yes I as well had some nice posts up there about 6 that I had newely posted that were deleted, I saved a section of one, mabye I can post that after we hear from percy on this. Hopefully it may be fixed to a good degree!

TC,
Well apparently the censorship of creationists has biased me toward this type of behavior on discussion lists. Perhaps it is simply a hosting problem. Please continue with your discussion, I think we were making some headway.
Cheers

The Lord works in mysterious ways!
I know that right now there are some EMAIL WORMS circulating, because I have received over 20 letters/ATTACHMENTS with the word "worm" in them in the past few days. Because these attacks have been so intense, my gut tells me that there may be a complete breakdown of a major network within a few days.

Been searching threads everywhere for vital challenges. Lost my last night's reply as well (to 'vestigialiy'); sorry Shraf, Quetzal, and others. Is it 'pointless' or 'vanity of vanities' this 'black box' we're in?

Our slip provider has been having problems with a number of electronic attacks over the last week or so. I prefer to think that this is it rather than a stifling of debate.

Briefly, a couple months ago this site's webhosting company imposed compute and virtual memory limits on processes. I did some recoding which took care of some of the problems, and I divided the small number of large forums into a large number of small forums (something I'd been planning anyway) which took care of some more of the problems.
But problems remain. We're within 10 MB of the disk space limit, but there are occasionally usage spikes for reasons not satisfactorily explained to me, and whenever it spikes above the limit data is lost.
The webhosting company has been taking an antagonistic view toward requests for help and information. They appear to view bulletin board sites as the enemy, and I feel like I'm being encouraged to go elsewhere.
And so that's what we're doing. I've already begun setting up the site at another webhosting company. There will likely be a short transition period of a day or two where you'll have to access the site through an IP address rather than the familiar http://localhost/Website_ValueWeb_exp. That can't be helped as the registration of the domain name of has to be transferred from one webhosting company to another, and while only taking an instant to perform there's no way to know precisely when it will happen.
The move should affect activity here very little, if at all, but I'll provide more information as moving day approaches.

Thank you percy, I see how things are, your site must be getting a relatively massive amount of traffic and your forum taking up large amounts of space. If I may have some recommendations, for my Domain Redirection I reject to use my memory/space holder as this operator simply because of the problem you may be having now. I currently use zonedit.com, a very reliable redirection in my opinion for DNS management, it also has many other nifty functions you can use. zonedit is free unless you are redirecting more than 5 main domains (you can have many sub-domain redirects). My other recommendation would be to use 100megswebhosting if space is very cumbersome, though I do believe they have a few diadvantages, or I just havent figured it out yet such as cloaked domain with the addition of prefix URL's to your main domain (http://localhost/Website_ValueWeb_exp, for instance). 100megswebhosting.com is a very nice web hosting company when it pertains to space, you can get 1000 megs of space with 6000 megs of monthly bandwidth for $20 a month, this is much better than other hosting companies I have found. Though I am not paying because I had been given this in payment of some Graphics work. If you find this useful and they ask, say PromiSoft recommended
. Hope I'm not auditioning for the Brad look-alike contest again Cheers percy.

The disk space problem has become sufficiently severe that I have deleted the reference library directory. It will be restored when we move to a new webhost.
I've received a number of encouraging comments via messages and email, and they are much appreciated. Thank you.

Percy you are the dictionary definition of a good egg....
On another note what will the IP adress we will need to use be?
On yet another note you might want to start a part 2 to the wmscott thread some time soon as its up to the high teens of pages, around the point where is the bible the word of God etc went pear shaped....
