NOT AN INTELLIGENT DESIGN TOPIC!
Things "intelligent design" should not be in this topic, unless you can specifically tie it to an origin of life concept.

It really helps moderators figure out if a topic is disintegrating because of general misbehavior versus someone in particular if the originally non-misbehaving members kept it that way. When everyone is prickly and argumentative and off-topic and personal then it's just too difficult to tell. We have neither infinite time to untie the Gordian knot, nor the wisdom of Solomon.
There used to be a comedian who presented his ideas for a better world, and one of them was to arm everyone on the highway with little rubber dart guns. Every time you see a driver doing something stupid, you fire a little dart at his car. When a state trooper sees someone driving down the highway with a bunch of darts all over his car he pulls him over for being an idiot.
Please make it easy to tell you apart from the idiots. Message 150

Closing temporarily - reopened 2 hrs later
So people can study my previous message 40. Not a intelligent design topic. Not a biological evolution topic.
The forum is "Origin of Life" and the topic theme is "abiogenesis".
If your message does not deal will and focus on such, then it's off-topic and possibly garbage.

Added by edit:
I've just put "OFF-TOPIC" banners on most of the messages posted to this topic this year. That is NOT to say that many of the earlier messages were not also off-topic. When this topic reopens, stray from the topic theme at your own considerable peril.

Topic Post Mortem - Topic permanently closed
I’ve decided to permanently close this topic, but I do think there may be cause for a successor topic.
But first I’m going to do a topic post mortem. Being that the topic is pretty short and many of the messages are quite devoid of real content, I have managed to review the whole thing.
Now the topic title is Some Abiogenesis Considerations, in the Origin of Life forum. In reviewing message 1, my impression is that the topic title is marginally proper, but that something like The Single Common Ancestor Considerations would probably be much more accurate to the topic theme. And that topic theme seems to actually fall into the Biological Evolution forum.
Anyhow, even assuming that the single common ancestor is the true topic theme, the on-topic status started getting fuzzy quite early in the topic. At message 14, things seem to really take a turn for the worst, although some on-topic messages did persist for a bit longer.
Then, at message 28 (10/6/08), things go really go bad, pretty much never to recover (including an off-topic message from NosyNed (aka AdminNosy)). At this point, topic abandonment should have been pretty obvious to anyone following the topic at all closely (which may well not have included me).
I subsequently posted two topic drift warnings, 2.5 hours apart, on 7/16/09. The second one had the added power of being accompanied by a temporary topic closure. That’s when the side topic on the matter started. After it was closed for I while, I reopened it and plastered a bunch of OFF-TOPIC banners, and then reclosed it. In all, I reopened it 2 hours after the initial closing.
In this current review I now note that messages 34 and 36 were, at a minimum, sort of on-topic. But even those messages were pretty poor.
