I guess this really wouldn't be the forum for me, as such. The debate interests me but I really have trouble buying into either system. Most of what I have seen before this forum is a lot of evidence put forth by each side that heavily refutes the opposing side, but never gives a great deal of support for itself. This has left me, as I've said, not being convinced that either side is on the right track. For clarification I'm agnostic, and studying computer science.

Welcome Red
At least, if you are studying Computer Science you certainly believe in Daemons and 666

Re: Welcome Red
Thanks for the welcome. Say, I get the daemons reference, as it relates to CS, but 666?

You tend to hear the same arguments a lot in the CvE debate (often countering each others points, as you said), but there is a great deal of scientific evidence supporting evolution available for review if you research the subject outside of the context of this debate.

Didn't you hear him/her?
s/he doesn't prefer either. A neutral and logical stance. So stop trying to preach evolution.

Noone is asking for you to buy into either argument.
Most of what I have seen before this forum is a lot of evidence put forth by each side that heavily refutes the opposing side, but never gives a great deal of support for itself.
Uhh.... no, you've been imagining things. Most of what creationists on these forums have presented non-sense science and straw man to refute evolution. Every once in a while we would actually get a creationist that makes any sense. Here is a challenge for you, find some kind of creationist argument on these boards that hasn't been shot down by one of us that actually know what we are talking about.
By the way, this sentence sounds like you don't know what you are talking about.
This has left me, as I've said, not being convinced that either side is on the right track.
Sorry to break this to you, but none of us evos care if you are convinced or not. You can believe whatever you want. We only ask that you present evidence for you claims, including evidence that say evos haven't provided support for our side. Well, let's hear it!
For clarification I'm agnostic, and studying computer science.
I know quite a few computer science people. My experience tell me that the great majority of them don't have a clue what biology is all about. I'm not saying that you are one of these, but I'm not entirely convinced that you have thought this through. Evidence please.

This is not one of those cases where you are above others or are somehow wiser by being neutral. First, Red made the assertion that neither side has presented good support for its argument. Then, Phobos pointed out that evos have a monopoly on scientific evidence on this forum, and he's right. The fact of the matter is that the overwhelming majority of the creos here use pseudoscience to support their view until they find out that some of us have actually been through years and years of college and research (and some actually have Ph.D.'s in these fields) and actually know what we are talking about.
Noone is "preaching" evolution. However, making the neutral statement (which isn't really neutral at all if you read that original post again carefully) without evidence or support will get you nowhere on this forum. Red has 2 choices to make: (1) either learn to provide support for incredible claims or (2) run away.

You ask him for evidence. But he is saying he believes in neither. What exactly do you want him to provide you with? Evidence that proves he is undecided?
Please grow a brain before judging someone like this. If you "evo's" are not bothered whether he is convinced or not, why hound him and give a rant about how great evolution is?

'Cause it's impossible to honestly say there is any other choice. 'Least not without laughing.

Keep laughing fence-sitter!
Where is your fight of faith? Tis second to your love for evolution!
Would you laugh if God said to you there is truth to creation? Would you laugh at God?

If he tried to sell me the hokie Creationist crap, of course I would laugh at him. If he sat down and told me that he followed the steps laid out in Genesis, of course I'd laugh at him.
If he even tried to tell me that there was intellegent design, I'd laugh at him.

You don't believe in God. I know you don't.
If you laughed at what he calls truth then I very much doubt your belief.
