Re: Theistic evolution
One of the biggest problems with the Genesis account of creation is the light travel time problem
If you asked me for the top 20 "biggest problems" with Genesis creationism, I don't think "light travel time" would be on the list.
I don't know if it would make the top 50.
The issues with Creationism taken as fact are legion. The fact that people are obsessing about the distance of stars as part of the issue boggles my mind.
It's like dusting in Pompeii while the mountain is exploding.

Re: Theistic evolution
You want 1 issue with Creationism?
Neanderthals
How can an entire race of people exist and die out all before the creation of the world 6 thousand years ago?

Re: Theistic evolution
The most common polystrate fossils are tree trunks.
Got some pictures?

Re: Theistic evolution
Whereas the dimensions found in Genesis 6:15 make an extremely stable boat.
Well stable or not, boat can only hold so much cargo. Go ahead and build an arc, load it with 6 elephants, 6 hippos, 6 giraffes, 6 rhinos, 6 water buffalo, 6 lions, 6 bison, 6 giant ground sloths, 6 t-rexs, etc, etc, etc.
Screw having to feed the animals, or keeping them from eatting one another. Just deal with the metric tonage of 6 of every "kind" of animal that's ever existed - that little dingy is gonna sink like a stone.

Re: Theistic evolution
I'd be happy to provide such a list - only in a different thread, as we are starting to hijack this one.
Go ahead and start up a thread, I'll meet you there shortly

Re: Theistic evolution
Except in the case where 7 "clean" animals were on board
Am I wrong to assume that "clean" animals here is similiar to kosher? Meaning that pigs would not be clean but cattle would?
T Rex because he and all other dinosaurs were on the ark as well
Okay, glad you agree we've got 2 of every dinosaur. You've also got 2 of every animal from the mega-faunal - which predates creation by a good 60,000 years, but what the hey.
So, 2 wooly mammoth, 2 wooly rhino, 2 giant ground sloth, 2 giant elk, 2 baluchitherium, 2 glypodons, etc etc etc.
Hell, I don't think you could make an arc that could hold 2 of every animal alive today - leaving off the extinct animals completely.
