Re: well wishes
Hi Ned,
Thanks for your good wishes.
I am having another knee op, I have had quite a few in the last 5 years. I ruptured my anterior and posterior cruciates in my left knee and have had them reconstructed. I have been having a lot of pain in the joint and the surgeon thinks it may just be some debris from the reconstructions lodged in the cartilage. There was a bit of grinding going on when he examined me and he may just need to clean the joint out. Hopefully I will only be in hospital for a few days and then a week or twos rest and I should be okay, I hope anyway.
I should be able to get to the computer for a few minutes near the end of the week to give an update, or I will get my g/f to keep you informed.
Thanks also to Riley and CA, I really appreciate your thoughts.
Brian.
PS, CA, keep an eye on Ken for me

You know you have the best of wishes from us all, Brian.
Here's hoping you're (comfortably) back on your feet in record time.

Something I've always been puzzled by is how a reported population of 1200000+ people (plus a load of minors) can possibly share one single altar when the amount of 'offenses' which requires a sacrifice at that specific altar are so many.
Add to this any ceremonial sacrifices on specific dates, and I just can't see how you'd be able to keep this up.

As Amlodhi says, Abraham does not consider the Pharaoh or King Abimelech’s obsession with Sarah to be absurd, he in fact expects them to find her very beautiful. What he finds absurd is the announcement that he and Sarah will conceive a child in their old age.
A few posts ago you wrote a reference of Abe's laughing at this love for Sarah.

The earth is flat.

Hi Prophex
A few posts ago you wrote a reference of Abe's laughing at this love for Sarah.
I think you must have misread my post, the only thing I mentioned Abe laughing a was the revelation that Sarah would become pregnant. I quoted Genesus 17:17 to illustrate this:
From post 129
Genesis 17:17: Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
Abraham is shocked to discover that people of his and Sarah’s age are to have children, why would he laugh if this was not unusual?
The Bible says that Abraham laughed at the idea of him and Sarah having a child when he is 100 years old and Sarah is 90, he found that absurd.
What he didn't find absurd was that Abimelech, who could have had any woman in the kingdom, would be lovestruck with this 90 year old hot chick.
Brian.

It seems that if he found himself, wife having a child absurd at the old age, would it not seem logical that he found also Abimelech's love for the 90 year old woman absurd?

The earth is flat.
