Or how toothless they'll be when they clone their invincible secret mutant army.
As jar said, what the hell are you talking about?
Okay, I took a few liberties with jar's quote.

Bye bye US of A , Hello NAU

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxzs46Nxohk&feature=related
I got these three links to youtube when I did an internet serch on the North American Union. Some other keyword searches for related topics are the Amero our (USA, Canada, Mexico) soon to be new curancy and the Security and Prosperity Partnership. Yes Jar, I'm giving you this, amoung other reasons, because I know you won't watch them but you will no doubt raise a big enough fuss about them that someone will watch them.
I have just a few questions. What in the world did our forefathers fight and die for? And what has changed in america since it's founding that we (america) would allow this?
Oh, see also the African union

Re: Bye bye US of A , Hello NAU
Allow what?
What does any of it have to do with the topic?
Where is the problem?
In case you were unaware, I have said many times that I believe the US is in its last half century at best of its existence. But its dissolution will not likely be from things like trade and security agreements, it will be destroyed by Fundamentalist Christians.
But again, what does that have to do with the topic?

Immigration has been a problem Since 1607!

Re: Bye bye US of A , Hello NAU
One other point. You seem to imply that the North American Union would lead to the dissolution of the US.
Can you list the nations that ceased to exist when they became members of the EU?

Immigration has been a problem Since 1607!

Re: Bye bye US of A , Hello NAU
you mean like the EU ratifing a constitution that was not agreed on by all of its member states? Yeah that happened not to long ago.
Mentioned in this campain broadcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBw7cjxZ7-A&NR=1 along with the dissolution of the US, which was also mentioned in the CNN braodcast in Message 63 the link in the middle.
You made the coment that america is in it's last half century...the dead line for this is 2010. Whether or not the dead line is met remains to be seen, but it will probably be preaty close to that date. As mentioned in this CNN broadcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H65f3q_Lm9U&feature=related
Also mentioned in the links in message 63 are the African Union, and the preludes of an Asian Union, as well as the ultimate goal of a united world government and curancy. But I'm sure that you will just scoff at these points. (scoff, please, I'm ready to go home)

Re: Bye bye US of A , Hello NAU
So far you have not identified a single problem.
You have not identified a single nation that was dissolved through joining the EU.
Guess what. Constitutions and Amendments to Constitutions do NOT have to be ratified by all members, it depends on their own process requirements.
You have not supported how any of this is related to the Topic.
What is the problem with a world government?
What is wrong with a world currency?
What may I ask is the issue?

Immigration has been a problem Since 1607!

Here is the problem, if you had watched the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBw7cjxZ7-A&NR=1 you would have already gotten this, that the EU is changing and passing laws in it's member nations (after the constitution was ratified) that they didn't agree with, that they did not vote on, that they didn't vote for, and that they have no say over.
Error
Supporters in the Netherlands made their final appeal to voters Tuesday, saying the constitution would streamline decision-making in the union, and create a single foreign minister to give Europe more sway in international affairs.
Congratulations! It's triplets! | The Economist 10/25/2007
Was it worth the pain? If Lisbon has a chance of mattering in 20 years' time, it will have nothing to do with the rows over voting weights or blocking minorities that have dominated recent headlines. Instead, Lisbon may be seen as the moment that Europe finally resolved to live up to its economic heft and become a power on the world stage....Either character could become the figure regarded by the world as “Mr Europe””if they can see off a challenge from an existing big beast of the Brussels jungle, the president of the European Commission....In that case, Lisbon would have spawned not one infant “Mr Europe”, but triplets: an achievement to blot out memories of the treaty's wretched arrival in the world.
Give Europe a say | The Economist
the worst part of the constitution”a sweeping list of misguided good intentions and alleged social rights, the Charter of Fundamental Rights, which is an open invitation for EU judges to meddle. Even if other treaties have transferred more sovereign power to the centre (the acid test when it comes to referendums), this one still does a bit of that. Scrapping national vetoes in at least 50 areas of decision-making may make sense, and matter less than Eurosceptics claim, but it plainly hands more power to Brussels; that is what politicians need to justify, not spin away.
Does that have any bearing on this topic?
Immigration has been a problem Since 1607!
Your quote Jar. If the NAU goes through, just like in the EU there will be no border between the US and Mexico or Canada. We will become a western EU. i.e. the North American Union, with an all new communist government. (also in the above video)

Hi there imageinvisible,
You say;
imageinvisible writes:

I presume that you refer to the Treaty of Lisbon. It is not a constitution. True, it does bear an uncannily close resemblance to the preceding constitution, but it only amends previous treaties, it doesn't replace them.
Also, the treaty was signed by every EU country. So far, to my sure and certain knowledge, only Hungary has ratified it. If any country fails to ratify it (Ireland is having a referendum on the issue) it can't be passed. It is not yet in effect.
If you must drag us Europeans into your crazy end-time bollocks, at least get your facts right.

Well I take Christianity very seriously and the End Times Prophecy folk simply pervert all of the teachings. They are ignorant of what is actually in the Bible, and ignorant of the world we live in.

Here it is at last, dear fundies: your chance to demonstrate real foreknowledge.
Don't tell us what has already happened. Pick up your Bibles and tell us, based on that reading, what will happen. Tell us the headlines we'll be seeing 12 months from now. Give us something in advance that we can check against the real thing.
OK, I will go out on a limb. I'm basing my prophecy on Revelation 13:15-18.
Wiki writes:
A preterist view of the Mark of the Beast is the stamped image of the emperor's head on every coin of the Roman Empire: the stamp on the hand or in the mind of all, without which no one could buy or sell.[51] New Testament scholar Craig C. Hill says, "It is far more probable that the mark symbolizes the all-embracing economic power of Rome, whose very coinage bore the emperor's image and conveyed his claims to divinity (e.g., by including the sun's rays in the ruler's portrait). It had become increasingly difficult for Christians to function in a world in which public life, including the economic life of the trade guilds, required participation in idolatry."[52] A similar view is offered by Craig R. Koester. "As sales were made, people used coins that bore the images of Rome's gods and emperors. Thus each transaction that used such coins was a reminder that people were advancing themselves economically by relying on political powers that did not recognize the true God."[53](...)A futurist view of the mark of the Beast is the rise of a supranational currency could be a hallmark of the End Times and that the mark of the beast will be a sign on the forehead and/or upper side of the hand.[54]
Religious difficulties with a supranational currency currently exist (see World currency - Political difficulties). According to the Futurist view, to overcome the extant difficulties the Antichrist will use forced religious syncretism[55] (i.e. in the name of counterterrorism and world economic stability) to enable the creation of the supranational currency. Some interpret the mark as a requirement for all commerce to mean that the mark might actually be an object with the function of a credit card, such as subdermal RFID tags.[56]
My prediction is that due to the all consuming debt that is causing banking concerns all over the world, some political genius will come up with the idea to forever make humans responsible for paying this debt and at the same time take care of our issues with retirement and healthcare. We will be forced, somehow, to be undeniably responsible for our individual shares of this debt..(so that the holders of the debt can get paid.) I wont go so far as to predict a hand or forehead scenario...but will say that in order for us to get social security retirement or national(global?) health care, we will be forced to pay this debt and will be unable to get out of it. in essence, humans themselves will be the collateral backing this new system. Nobody will be able to opt out of it, and everybody will be equally responsible for paying the debts that are now plaguing us worldwide.

Re: Christianity is serious, End Time Prophecy is just nonsense
BibleGateway writes:
Revelation 13:15-18--
New International Version (NIV)
15 The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.
18 This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.[a] That number is 666.
Footnotes:
Revelation 13:18 Or is humanity’s number
it says all people. I can shoehorn the beasts in later...im sure they refer to something that we all worship.

Re: Christianity is serious, End Time Prophecy is just nonsense
It also says "16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name."
Note that the mark does not identify the person wearing the mark or say anything about the person wearing the mark. It says NOTHING about whether that individual has paid taxes, works, is entitled to social security...
The passage is nothing but word salad and does not support your assertion in any way.
