Cain's been a naughty boy
What about Cain's wife?
The only possible way to get around the obvious problem, while still adhering to the "inerrancy" of it, is to come to the inescapable conclusion that Cain was doing the hanky panky with his sister.
I'd love to hear any and all readers coming up with an alternative conclusion. That ought to be fun watching the squirming and wriggling.

Re: Cain's been a naughty boy
Does anyone read poetry in America?
Are you suggesting that the story of Cain and Abel is just symbolic imagery? Because if so, don't tell me, tell the people who do believe the inerrancy of every single word in the bible.

Re: 120 year lifespan
before the Flood, there was a mist instead of rain, which doubled as a protection from UV rays. people lived longer due to this, coupled with a diet of fruits and vegetables. ater the Flood, the mist went away and the world then relied on rain, the UV rays were given free reign and people died earlier due to radiation over their lifespan. that's why the people that live inside live longer.
So then by this rationale we can conclude that no one drank water, yet it was somehow more healthy. This is interesting because even people who live in rainforests, where a canopy of trees block out radiation, and where mist persists nearly year round, not only do they have to drink water like everyone else, and live on a mostly vegan diet, not only is their lifespan nowhere near hundreds or thousands of years old, but it's averaged at about a quarter less than what it is in developed nations.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that you're talking out of your ass.
