This thread has hit the old 300 mark, and I believe that we are still holding to our old practise of closing down threads this large.
I suggest some closing statements or if all isn't resolved, please propose a new topic with a link to this one.
I'll give it a bit more time.

Steve, you are still simply making assertions with NO supporting evidence AND continuing to do so even when presented with evidence that refutes your claims. See Message 290 and Message 291
You repeat...
Man, the truth is that men, in general, make better leaders than women. That does not make men more important or more valuable than women. Women make better managers than men.
To state otherwise is to be totally disconnected from real life. That isn't just some cultural artifact, that's truth right there. You have to recognize that.
If you really expect anyone to take you seriously you need to do better presenting support. Just claiming some idea is fact in the face of clear evidence that you are wrong is just plain silly.

I am talking about my experience. But the important point, is that the bible calls on men to be spiritual leaders of their household, in their marriage.
The bible never says that woman cannot be leaders in other situations.
But the fact still remains, based on my experience, that men, being quicker decision makers, less concerned with everyone's perspective, and being more aggressive by nature, are suited for leadership.
Again, there are women with these qualities in large amounts, but they are masculine traits, not feminine.
And masculine traits are not better or more important than feminine. They balance each other out, which is why God made man and woman that way, so that we would need one another.
Guys, ask any woman what kind of guy she wants, and she'll tell you, one who takes the lead and she can follow. Not one who forces her to follow, but one that she wants to follow.
Now before you respond to this post, ask some women, objectively, without insinuating anything and see what you get. Make it perfect strangers.
If you're still not convinced that men make better leaders, in general, than women, I don't know what to tell you but it may make a difference in your relationships!

well what is your experience with leadership?
My personal experience?
I was a Boy Scout troop leader for several years.
More recently I've served as leader/president/dictator of a number of college organizations. But I've never held any college leadership position that I hadn't seen a woman hold, and as far as I could tell, they did just as well a job as I. I've never seen a situation where a woman's emotional state was at all a hindrance to the job.
You're talking out of your ass, basically. You've confused a paternistic desire for leadership for a masculine suitability for it.

It's funny you say that, because you've listed the qualities most likely to result in shitty leadership and decision-making.

What were these supposed many college leadership positions?
I'm sorry to hear you were a dictator.
What were the actual outcomes of your being the leader? Increased participation, revenue, or awareness?
How did it compare to the women?
But back to the point, the bible, and Christianity does not subjugate women.
On the other hand, religion usually does.
By the way, did you try that little survey I suggested?

What were these supposed many college leadership positions?
A juggling club, a gaming society, and a foam-sword dueling organization.
I'm sorry to hear you were a dictator.
It was a joke title.
How did it compare to the women?
They usually were better at increasing participation and awareness than I was. Usually they were better organized than the male leaders, including myself.
On the other hand, religion usually does.
Christianity is religion. What, do you think we're idiots?
By the way, did you try that little survey I suggested?
In the last five minutes, sitting in my apartment? No.

peace
Judging by these student organizations I sumize that it's quite clear that you've never actually been a leader.
Christianity is absolutely NOT a religion! Another thread if you so desire, but a religion Christianity is not.
Let me close this session by stating that if I were a solder going into battle I'd rather have a man leading than a woman.
What about you?

Judging by these student organizations I sumize that it's quite clear that you've never actually been a leader.
How do you figure? I organized events, made decisions, set agendas, represented my group to administration, etc. I did everything leaders do, so by definition, I was one.
It's just that plenty of women were better leaders than me.
Christianity is absolutely NOT a religion!
Oh.. so, there are no Christian churches? It's not a belief system about the supernatural? Christians aren't entitled to protection under the First Amendment? I can go down the street and demand that First Lutheran Church start paying property tax?
I don't know what definition of "religion" you're using - your own, I assume - but according to Miriam-Webster, Christianity is a religion.
What about you?
I'd rather have the leader who brought back the most soldiers alive.

Christianity is a relationship, NOT a religion.
You really shouldn't even be on this forum if you don't have your facts right.
Christianity is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything else is to help that relationship.
Religion is Islam, Buddhism, etc...man's way of getting to God.
Religion is rules
Christianity is neither of these.
Since being on a forum like this is new to me and I can't really see the benefit of it, I think it might be a waist of time.
Especially since I can see that you and the majority of peopel that post here have no life. You have no real world experience in the things you talk about or at least a clear understanding of real world scenarios. It's like having a discussion with an idealistic child.
When you think that Christianity is a religion than there is nothing else that can be said until you understand that you are wrong and that Christianity is a relationship.
peace

closing down long long thread
OK, ten posts from my last one...doesn't seem that anyone wants to post any closing arguments. If the participants want to continue this discussion it can be taken to a new thread.
Time to close this one down.
