Just to butt in here for a mo'. Like everything else spoken here now, you've had this explained to you dozens of times but you never, ever incorporate it. Instead you put your own spin on it to suit your own agenda. I really don't know what to do about that except keep bloody explaining it.

For me it was just a gradual realisation that what I'd been told was bullshit. Bore no resemblance to reality. A very similar experience to realising that Father Christmas didn't exist. I did not swop god for critical thinking, or science or humanism - belief just dissolved and life went on exactly as normal.

btw, I'm half way through your Dawkins/Lennox "debate" - which again, isn't a debate - and so far can see no reason at all for your claim that Dawkins was "destroyed". In fact all I see is the same old stuff being rolled out that we've all heard a thousand times here. Absolutely nothing new there at all.

By-and-large people agree on what is right and wrong - in a moral sense.

People don't agree which of our many gods are 'right'. People all agree that everyone else's god is wrong.

Generally speaking, anyone reading the Old Testament with no prior assumptions or knowledge would say that the god in that story had the temperament and morality of a narcissistic, psychotic mass murderer. And therefore 'wrong'.

So I'm not sure what you mean by 'right'.
