Well, this is a call to all participants not to preach, but to stay on topic.

You consider the various Patriarchs to have had their lives destroyed? According to the Bible, those men were blessed unto many generations.

Re: Moon God?
Andya Primanda,
I have nothing against you. I just believe there has to be one truth. Because if there is more than one yet they contraidct eachother it doen's make sense. I have been a Christian for over two years now and just looking at the account of the Gospel compared to other books that in Christ He is the only one that has paid the price for our sin.
Here are a few links.

I think drummachine is referring to issues like Solomons wives "turning away his heart", or the rivalry between Peninnah and Hannah.
Actually in neither of these is polygamy itself condemned. In the first case Solomon's wives turned him away to their gods - no particular indication that they did so by strength of numbers. In the case of Peninnah and Hannah there is no big deal made of Elkanah's polygamy: it was the spitefullness of Peninnah which was at fault. One might as well say the Bible implies that having two kids is wrong, on the basis that Cain killed Abel.

I suspect that he is refering to such things, but, like you I don't know of any cases where polygamy can be argued to be directly at fault. And, secondly, Drum can point to specifics and do his own debating.

Terminally off topic?
I defer this territory to AdminPamboli, but I would be very inclined to close this topic.

Re: Terminally off topic?
You're absolutely right, Adminnemooseus. My combative alter ego was inclined as any not to to let it drop, but reviewing the course of the thread, it has taken many turns, but none of them back towards Biran's first topic.
Closing the thread.
If any wants to open topics specific to any pet issues raised along the way in this thread, then that will be fine, if we can keep them on-topic.
