And I didn't say that, did I? I said I agreed with your source.
Perhaps you did not intend to, but you did. You greatly misunderstood my source.

How to program
Empty the self completely;
Embrace perfect peace.
The world will rise and move;
Watch it return to rest.
All the flourishing things
Will return to their source.
This return is peaceful;
It is the flow of nature,
An eternal decay and renewal.
Accepting this brings enlightenment,
Ignoring this brings misery.
Who accepts nature's flow becomes all-cherishing;
Being all-cherishing he becomes impartial;
Being impartial he becomes magnanimous;
Being magnanimous he becomes natural;
Being natural he becomes one with the Way;
Being one with the Way he becomes immortal:
Though his body will decay, the Way will not.
To gain knowledge it is first necessary to throw away what you know.
Human Programming begins with emptying the source.

I don't know about the pantheist twist, but I liked the last line.
Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Sounds like Jesus is claiming to be knowledge incarnate!

Mark 8:33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

Empty assertion.
The above that is.
That it most certainly is.
Do you hear yourself?

Re: How to program
I haven't read the Tao Te Ching in years.
I'll have to see if I have it filed under "T" for Tao or "L" for Lao.

What I don't hear is you giving us anything but a bare link.
Another exerpt:
quote:
The second test is empirical adequacy: Is there evidence that supports what is being asserted?
Zacharias acknowledges the need for empirical evidence.

How to deprogram
You asked:
Please show us where knowledge is mentioned in Matthew 10:39?
ok...
You said:
To gain knowledge it is first necessary to throw away what you know.
Jesus is saying the same thing and with an added austere twist.
Matthew 10:39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
Anyone can see that, and only a fool would deny it.
I mean, maybe Jesus was crazy! But his words couldn't have been clearer. I would expect a Christian to know that.

Zacharias acknowledges the need for empirical evidence.
Absolutely!
Do you know what his favorite example is, besides the wonder and mystery of the universe and all the ensuing obvious mysteries that science can only spit at?...
...When Thomas reached out and touched Jesus after the ressurection and then said, 'My Lord and my God!'
There was an emperical dimension to it, that ceased all doubt!
Empericism by it's self is not that important according to Jesus.
Luke 16:31 "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

You know I read it again, word by word and still can't find the word knowledge in there.

I hope that everyone gets a look at this little exchange. I have some serious replies from Arachnophilia to read. I'll be sure and send him this way...

I still dont see how we can hold something as true if it goes outside the realm of logic.
Did I miss an explanation somewhere ?
Can something held as true be Illogical ?
Am I mistaking when I say that logic dictate what can be true ?
So many questions
