Hi Whaler,
I think most evolutionists, regardless of religious belief (or lack thereof), are a bit tired of the assumption that accepting the theory of evolution is equivalent to atheism.
Bryan Rehm was one of the litigants in the Kitzmiller intelligent design trial in Dover, Pennsylvania, in 2005. He and his wife were faithful churchgoers and taught a vacation Bible school in the summer time, but when the controversy erupted they were accused of being atheists.
The equating of atheism with any beliefs unlike their own is a recurring theme of both creationism and fundamentalism. They're in effect proclaiming their religious ignorance and intolerance.
I would like to believe that it isn't all over when we die, but I can find no evidence of this. In general, people's certainty on any subject is inversely proportional to their level of knowledge, and any statements pro or con expressing any certainty on this topic appear to be based upon ignorance.

What evidence is there to suggest that evolution, accepted by billions of theists from all sorts of religions and atheists alike constitutes an overarching ideology which sets ideas about what happens after death?

Do you think Pope John Paul II was an atheist? He certainly publically endorsed evolution more than a few times.

As so many have pointed out, evolution has nothing to say about what happens after you die. All evolution says is that as populations reproduce over time, they change.
The official position of the Catholic Church is that evolution is the only scientific theory to explain how life diversified on this planet. What do you think Catholics think happens to you when you die? It would seem, at least in the case of Pope John Paul II, you get shoved incredibly far down the road to be made a saint. Normally, you're supposed to wait five years after death before starting the process, but John Paul II ignored it for Mother Teresa and Benedict XVI has done so for John Paul II, starting the process for beatification just barely one month after he died.
Even Orthodox Judaism doesn't think evolution contradicts their religious faith, so what do you think Jews think happens to you when you die?
Why do you think evolution would have something to say about what happens to you after you die?

I never heard anything from evolutionist side that when you die what happens then.
Sure you have, you've just don't understand what evolution means and thus equate it with atheism.
Just look up anything said by Pope John Paul II pertaining to the afterlife, he was an "evolutionist" and a Catholic. I think he has a few opinions about what happens after death.
Could someone elaborate on this theory.
There is no "theory" to elaborate on.
Did you present a theory, or a question...?
However, if you want to change your question to, What do atheist believe happens after you die then my answer, as an atheist, is: Life goes on without. As it is doing currently after all the people who died today, yesterday and everyday since then. Life goes on.
If you want to change your question further to, What happens to the human body after you die? (again, this is directed to atheists). Then my answer, as an atheist, is: it rots in the ground.
If you want to go one further, and ask, What happens to your soul when you die? Then my answer, as an atheist, is: I'm an atheist therefore I don't believe there is a soul.
