We know that God Incarnate, Jesus christ is male. I will point out, however, that as far as gender issues go in heaven, the Bible says that God is a Spirit...and there is no gender specifically attached. God is beyond gender.

Phat, I am not 100% sure but I think Percy was using sarcasm in regards to god's sex.

However, what I AM sure of, is that I'd rather no God at all than the petty, vindictive, bastard you call God. I don't think God is a petty, vindictive bastard. I think God is pure Goodness and therefore hates evil. He hates it when people do evil. He has given us our conscience to tell what's right and what's wrong. We ignore that little voice all the time. At least I have recently realized that I ignore it on a daily basis.
Youre judged on someone elses failings. sometimes, but curiously, not always, killed shortly after birth for Adams sins. Even you admit that its wrong for humans to kill other humans for the crime of being human, but its OK for God to do it. He gave us free will as individuals, but still judges the entire species for the crimes of one. This is not the way I see it. But then again, I do not believe in the literal truth of the Adam and Eve story. I believe that story to be a myth which is metaphor for the fall of all of mankind. 'Original sin' is not that we are punished for someone else's sin, it is that we are born with the tendency to sin (disregard our inner voice) due to the fact that mankind has turned away from God. I think people can only be punished for things they themselves did.

What is the mechanism or process or force that prevents many small changes in a population to accumulate enough to produce speciation? None. Why could speciation not have taken place under divine guidance?
If the fossils are sorted by Noah's flood, then why do flowering plants appear so late in the fossil record? Did they run for high ground? In my eyes it is pretty silly to think that Noah's flood actually happened. It is a myth. A similar myth is seen in the Gilgamesh epos. Why do Christian fundies insist that all of the Bible must be literally true? A friend of mine said something beautiful: "Just because something didn't actually happen, doesn't mean it's not true".

A friend of mine said something beautiful: "Just because something didn't actually happen, doesn't mean it's not true". Word. Just because Romeo and Juliet isn't a true story doesn't mean that it's not saying something true about love.

No I beleave in God, I beleave God's word (the bible). For me, it doesn't matter who tries to disprove Him because I know He's there and that gives me peace. I won't try to debate because I know too little about some things and wouldn't bother besides, why do I need to?
I know the truth, in my heart.

Thankyou
Yes I hope they find the truth before it's too late also. A lot of people think that Christians think they are better when in fact they just don't want to see anyone left behind when Jesus returns God Bless You

It is wonderful what having a background in philo. as well as the sciences can do for you. Do I believe in God? Of course. I also believe God is unique and without equal. What does not do for my science?
Answer: not too much... It means I see a personage in the background, but the science itself does not deal with that issue. Religions and Philo. deal with such matters, and I leave that behind when I attempt to understand the workings of the universe itself from a physical view. It is my job when I start to consider the math behind the motions not to subscribe them to God, but rather to attempt to address the rules (which I may or may not believe God wrote) of the motions at hand. For in finding the rules instead of simply saying God made it that way knowledge is gained.
