I read both Christ and the Antichrist in my KJ Bible. Do you?
There are too many scripture on love hope, faith and other positive issues for me to bother having you read a bunch of quotes.
There are as many scripture that ring more as coming from an Antichrist.
I will only bother with the one not from lack of availability but for brevity.
Deut21-18
If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; 20 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. 21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
I don’t want to particularly debate this example and hope that most will recognize why I believe that only an Antichrist would come up with such a philosophy.
I believe that there was an attempt by those who compiled the various books of the Bible to insert the essence of the tree of knowledge of good and evil within it’s pages so that the debate and search for God would be stimulated by the dissemination of scripture.
I think that their consensus was that there was a God but that His philosophy was not yet fully written and that it would some day be revised.
To read the Bible literally seems silly in light of the fact that it is only a fraction of the books that were considered and indeed only a fraction of the books now known to exist.
So, is there a Christ and an Antichrist speaking out of the Bible, or is God as cruel as some say He is because of scriptures like the above?

Not to trip me up but as the OP states, to further discussion and debate of the reality of God Himself and the teaching of placing various ideas on the bell curve of good and evil.
The quote used I place far on the evil side and attribute it to the Antichrist.
Perhaps a better analogy would be that the Bible contains the tree of good and evil. We are to read various scripture and place them on one of the branches. Either the good branch or the evil branch.
I have to wonder why else the compilers or writers would have placed such idiotic scripture within the Bible.

you're not really being very clear, but i guess i understand what you're saying.
i have decided that it is nothing more than a group of writings by or of people who had a relationship with god. like anyone else with a relationship with god, they may or may not be righteous in their actions and commands. it's not a message from god, so much as a message about him. you choose the words you follow. but people do that anyways while thinking it's a message from god, so it doesn't really change anything.

No. I read neither Christ nor Anti-Christ in the Old Testament. I read precious little Anti-Christ in the New Testament either.

Neither. The Bible is a book written by men. They got a lot of it wrong.

The same method of analysis you use to find Christ and Antichrist in the Hebrew Scriptures can find them as easily in the Koran, the Upanishads, King Lear, Roget's Thesaurus, A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Idiot's Guide to Woodworking and your local sports pages.
Any book you pick up will contain ideas that strike you as correct and ideas that strike you as wrong-headed. You want to call the ideas you like 'Christ' and the ideas you don't like 'Antichrist'? Go right ahead. But it's your metaphor, no one else's. Nothing about the texts mandates this treatment.
A Red Sox fan can as easily call all the ideas she likes 'Boston' and all the ideas she doesn't like 'New York.' She'd be saying just as much.

Biblical Antichrist
The antichrist does not speak out of the Bible. The Bible, both Old Testament and New Testament prophesy about him relative to what the Bible refers to as the latter days as per messianic eschatology/prophecy.
There are a number of terms pertaining to the end time antichrist, such as "little horn" in Daniel 7, "beast" (two horned) in Revelation 13, "man of sin" II Thessalonians 2:3, "antichrist" I John 2 18-23 and "false prophet" Revelation 19:20, 20:10.
Note in the Daniel texts as well as the Revelation account the antichrist prevails against the saints of God and "wears them out," i.e tribulation/persecution of Christians.
The Revelation text has the antichrist/false prophet cast into the lake of fire where Satan the devil also ends up as per Revelation 20:10. So ends the phenomena of evil in the universe.
The antichrist works in conjunction with and by the power of Satan. Thus he will hate Israel and Christianity. He will work to destroy Israel as per Revelation 12,13 and to fight the Christians/saints as per Revelation 13. His MO of killing will be beheading as per Revelation 20. He will have political power worldwide as per Revelation and Daniel. The nations which he uses to fight Israel in the latter days are listed in Ezekiel 38 as well as other OT prophets.
He will stand in the "holy place" which is the Temple Mount where now stands the Dome of the Rock, Islamic holy place. Matthew 24:15
Here he is refered to by Jesus as the abomination of desolation. This one is also refenced in the Old Testament Daniel 9:27 text as the "one who makes desolate."
Go figure! As the old saying goes, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and flaps it's wings like a duck, it likely is a duck.

I cannot agree that belief in religious maters do not create change.
Think of The impact of Islam or of the death caused by the Vatican at different time and under different names like inquisition.

I agree but they may have got it wrong for the right reasons. Discussion and debate for a god that they were still trying to dither.
Were you agreeing that the quot i used was more from an Antichrist?
