Re: EVERYBODY should come if they can
Just wondering..........
Has this strayed horribly off topic, or are we now proposing defending evolution by picnickery?

Picnickery. I like that - a word-makeuper after my own heart.
Where do you live? I'll pick you up on my way from the northwest corner of New England (Saskatchewan).

Re: EVERYBODY should come if they can
My heart forever resides in the land of 10,000 flakes, Minnesnowta. My body, however, now resides in Tennessee, where, one day, I hope to make a pilgrimage to Rhea County and see what the locals there say about the Scopes trial.
I'm afraid it'd be a bit out of your way to come through here from Canukistan to New England, but hey, it's your gas money.
Mind if I bring the missus? She's quite bemused by what she calls my obsession on this topic. (Evolution vs. creationism/I.D., not picnickery.)

I'm not OT, I'm ignoring Creationists.
What day is summer in New England this year and will it last long enough for a picnic?

Believe me, I'd jump at the chance to live in the old one.

I think it's sometime in July, and it should last just long enough to keep the grill lit.

Ah, but will it last long enough for us to get lit? That's the important question.

Oh, being from Minnesnowta, I am well aware of that fact.
However, that notwithstanding, it does put a damper on a bender when the weather changes mid binge and one has to devote some of one's attention to the question of whether the change is significant enough to require a change in attire.

Warning - If this thing goes back on topic, I'm closing it
The real theme of the topic is dead and in the process of being buried.
So, go ahead and bury it in blab.
But be warned that at this point, topic undrift is cause for closure.
