exactly. d&d is based on tolkein. it's not satanic in the slightest. sure, i've heard of nutso that actually do get all into it and do rituals and crap but still... there are nutsos in anything.

Re: Thoughts on the topic in question
Good point. Saying D&D is satanic is like saying that the people who dress up for the Society of Creative Anachronism are satan worshipers.

SCA is not really into satin worship...
more like linseywoolsey and sack cloth. They did sometimes use some silk, but only for the ladies or hose.

ha ha, no not war reinactors. Renaissance/Medieval reinactors.
Hmm, on second thought, maybe SCA isn't so bad...

oh i see.
well, they're wretched, but only cause they treat women the way they were treated in medieval times... but that doesn't make them satanists.

Are most of the bankers you know 'bad boys'?
I know one hardass at a local bank that tells off everyone who asks him something.
Also, let's consider numbers and the fact that bankers had customers, and customers can be pretty rough. I doubt every last one of them was unarmed.
TTFN,
WK
Uh, greetings to you too. What does this mean?

They don’t treat women as women were treated in medieval times. I think you much be thinking of some other group.

Yeah, I didn't understand what he meant. I figured he was joking or something.
I was in the SCA, even. There was nothing noteworthy about the treatment of women, except maybe that it had nothing to do with how they were treated in period times (er, by which I mean, medieval times, no pun intended).
B, what exactly are you talking about?

Well, that's not very illuminating, but I'll be dollars to doughnuts it's not the SCA you're talking about.
