The "Posts of the Month" forum index page.
These topics listed at the above page are still available for additions.
-----
Now for September 2003 (as per previous months):
quote:
Please post your votes for the September, 2003, Post of the Month here. Include author, forum name, thread name, post number, eg:
Name: Velvet Tongue
Forum: Evolution
Thread: I'm no monkey
Post #: 17
A link to the message, and perhap a SHORT comment would also be nice. But, this is NOT a place to debate the referenced topic.
I think that a fairly liberal use of this topic would be a good thing for indexing some nice messages that are otherwise doomed to be lost in the clutter. So, if you encounter a message that seems to say something of special substance, please give it a plug/reference in this topic.
New month, same old message and routine,

Great conclusion, though it helps to read what comes before first:
That's the valid conclusion from the ID proponents. I disagree with their induction, so I don't feel compelled to look for this evidence. The sad thing is that the ID proponents, who DO agree with the induction, ALSO don't feel compelled to look for this evidence. They place all the certainty of definition and deduction upon their controversial induction.

Mark elegantly exposes the logical flaw that intelligent design proponents make..over and over again.

Scripture is to be read and understood in its totality and not any section at a time. It is the faulty practice of 'selective reading' that has caused a great deal of confusion and false doctrine to be created/propagated.
See the entire message, and the preceding messages, for the context.
I've had thoughts of spinning off this message into its own topic. Perhaps Joralex would be interested in doing such.

Intelligent Design Creationist dillan is a persistent Dembski acolyte with a knack for firing off long, involved posts. Here holmes returns fire with a doozy of his own.

not a topic... but might the admins be interested?
Suggestion admins! Why don't you put a 'Recommended' tag or something on the posts that made their way here? People would easily miss them in keeping track with arguments. Besides, it would be great to keep old posts-of-the-month noticed.

In case anyone misses this reply to lawdog please read it since the only way lawdog will be able to answer the challenges (given his posts thus far) will be to go "duh"..bury head in sand, curl up in the fetal position and whimper, or run like a (law)dog with its tail between its legs...good job mark24....can't wait to see what response comes back (if any ever does)

Make sure to keep the euro/pound exchange rate in mind
No problem....that was a great series of well worded challenges to lawdog/ten-sai/appletoast... I think his only option at this point will be to dismiss/handwave (two more potential names for the guy) what you said or stop posting altogether since he nor any creationist on the site (or anywhere for that matter) can address what you wrote.
