Chiroptera hits the nail on the head with his link showing a layperson just how much information about an organism one can gather from a bone. Kudos!

A nice discussion, of various informed views, of what is macroevolution. See also, the follow up messages.
I thought of nominating this back then, but didn't bother. No one else picked up on it for me. A December nomination inspired me to search it down, and get it nominated.

I hadn't followed this topic, but a recent message caused me to look back at page 1.

A little rant, perhaps well summarising what some of us find so strange about the Old Testiment, and what we see to be the misguided fundementals of the fundementalists.
I particularly like the:
quote:
So God sends his son down to humans. Son proves to have far more on the ball than the old man. Rewrites 10 commandments with one sentence "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Remember, go to that topic to debate this. Don't do it in the "POTM" forum.

In Box C of Ligers and wholphins? What next?, we see AiG's idea of the history of the "cat kind". I marvel that they can print such a diagram with a straight face, because of all the evolution that it implies. Hugh Ross is certainly right about many YEC's proposing a sort of hyperevolution.
The topic is now closed, because of terminal topic drift. Go to the source topic, for the link to AiG.
