apply; it's a description of what naturally happens in populations of living organisms.
Evolution is a description of what already happens; it's not a prescription of behavior. It's not something that tells us what we should do; it's something that tells us what's going to happen, anyway. Populations don't need anybody's help to select against the less fit members of their populations; that happens anyway, it's intrinsic to being less fit.
What you're saying is all nonsense, CTD, because evolution explains how less fit individuals tend to have less success in reproduction. It doesn't
obligate us to ensure that it happens, any more than the law of gravity requires human beings to go pushing down on things.
