The aperence of a void in space does not nessisarily indicate that there is a void that is "x" light years accross. It could mearly appear that way due to the presence of a gravitational force that is bending light. The universe or objects in the universe can be much closer than the appear due to the action of gravity on the light that we see, and yeah I know i can not type or spell worth a damn so save your b.s. comments about those aspects of my thread, ya dig?

What gravitational forces would there be in empty space? Gravitational lensing has, as far as I understand it, been observed around large planets and stars as of yet. I think we can be more confident than you seem to be in it's size from observing it.
