Got it now.
Miles Davis, good stuff.
I grew up in a family that plays jazz. We jam on holidays, and partys.
My personal favorite is James Taylor.
You know if you listen closley, I think some "secular" musicians write some of their songs to God, they just don't make it so apparent. Some.

Welcome To EvC
Siggy, I live in Denver and know the Scum Of The Earth church well.
I believe that the future of Urban Ministry and specifically youth oriented music will be a synthesis of Gothic/Hip Hop, but it may take off even further from there!
BTW Do you know Age Sandoval in Denver? He is a pioneer of Christian Rap/Hip Hop and has a Hip Hop church known as Urban Impact.

Christian Musical Performance
Hey on occasions (don't ask) I go to a local community church (derivative from New Life) and I get goosebumps when listening to the musical worship (performance). The music is very very good - I must remember to drop a little into the offering plate next time.

Re: Christian Musical Performance
sometimes sacred music is very beautiful and very moving. that's what it's meant for. i'm glad to see that many on the outside still enjoy it. i don't allow myself to anymore. it's a shame, really.
