Hi SouthernGurl,
Welcome to the forums. Enjoy your stay. Could you use the little red 'reply' button under the post you're replying to rather than the big 'post reply' button at the bottom of the page, please? That way the software will track the thread of the conversation and you'll get the little "this message is a reply to:" links at the bottom of your posts. Thanks.

Hi, Southerngurl! I once was an Arkansawyer, too!
On the glaciers.
But there would be no glaciers in the middle of a fifteen-cubit-over-the-mountain flood. Maybe an ice floe, but no glaciers. And Genesis specifically has all life that had breath being destroyed, except what Noah and the boys had on the ark.

I can tell you are telling the truth, as you say "Arkansawyer", rather than "Arkansan" LOL.
What about iceburgs? Do these worms have lungs?

Sure.

Sure is!
He seemed to imply they had breath though. Absorbing oxygen through the skin is not "breath".

I'll bet you're correct - they likely have no lungs, and surely no nostrils. Whales and porpoises, though, have both, after a fashion. Were they on this boat?

They absorb oxygen through their skin but nevertheless they cannot survive in temperatures greater than a few degrees above or below the freezing point of water,A worldwide flood would have destroyed them. Not to mention the algae on which they survive.

Here are the verses:
quote:It speaks of dry land and the face of the earth, so it would be the land and flying animals that died. It speaks of those from the land and air entering the ark. This message has been edited by southerngurl, 12-07-2004 03:48 PM

I don't see why the worms wouldn't survive on some glaciers.

I don't see why the worms wouldn't survive on some glaciers. The problem is that the glaciers wouldn't survive. The energy of the floodwaters heats up the Earth to well over 200 degrees.

Because the glaciers would be underwater and the worms would subsequently die.

I don't think the whole earth, including the poles, would entirely melt...
