Well how about ice worms then? These creatures can only exist on glaciers in temperatures at the freezing point of water or less.Unless you are seriously going to suggest that noah also had refrigeration aboard the Ark{which is a can of worms you don't want to open} please explain how these creatures were able to survive?
On the glaciers.

Hi SouthernGurl,
Welcome to the forums. Enjoy your stay.
Could you use the little red 'reply' button under the post you're replying to rather than the big 'post reply' button at the bottom of the page, please? That way the software will track the thread of the conversation and you'll get the little "this message is a reply to:" links at the bottom of your posts.
Thanks.

Hi, Southerngurl! I once was an Arkansawyer, too!
On the glaciers.
But there would be no glaciers in the middle of a fifteen-cubit-over-the-mountain flood. Maybe an ice floe, but no glaciers. And Genesis specifically has all life that had breath being destroyed, except what Noah and the boys had on the ark.

I can tell you are telling the truth, as you say "Arkansawyer", rather than "Arkansan" LOL.
What about iceburgs?
Do these worms have lungs?

Sure is!
He seemed to imply they had breath though. Absorbing oxygen through the skin is not "breath".

I'll bet you're correct - they likely have no lungs, and surely no nostrils. Whales and porpoises, though, have both, after a fashion. Were they on this boat?

They absorb oxygen through their skin but nevertheless they cannot survive in temperatures greater than a few degrees above or below the freezing point of water,A worldwide flood would have destroyed them. Not to mention the algae on which they survive.

Here are the verses:
quote:
22Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils were the breath and spirit of life died.
23God destroyed (blotted out) every living thing that was upon the face of the earth; man and animals and the creeping things and the birds of the heavens were destroyed (blotted out) from the land. Only Noah remained alive, and those who were with him in the ark.(5)
It speaks of dry land and the face of the earth, so it would be the land and flying animals that died. It speaks of those from the land and air entering the ark.

I don't see why the worms wouldn't survive on some glaciers.

The problem is that the glaciers wouldn't survive. The energy of the floodwaters heats up the Earth to well over 200 degrees.

Because the glaciers would be underwater and the worms would subsequently die.
