At Two Harbors, MN radio station we purchased (8) new computers because of Windows 11 requirements. All these have the additional Sound Blaster sound cards, which are blatantly superior to the motherboard sound card.
Initially, we found that the also new KVM switches (USB powered) induced audio glitches when using the Sound Blaster card, but not with the moderboard audio. So we got new and improved KVM switches (having own power supply) which cured the Sound Blaster problem. By the way, apparently KVM switches at least sometimes don't get along well with USB3.
Anyway, we've now reluctantly installed the relatively recent MAJOR Windows 11 update. The Sound Blaster audio problems are back!!!
The bright side is that the computers we do the major audio work with (including what goes over the air) are NOT internet connected and have not been getting the Windows 11 updates.
Thoughts?
