Re: Predictions for a Trump America
Right right, another measure then that disproportionally favors the rich, they have a higher tax rate on their income, so they'll gain the most from that.
The poorest will get only a small benefit from this.
Yet at the same time, the increase in goods cost from such Tariffs would be 50%+, meaning the cost of living goes up a lot for the poor in comparison to the richest, who probably won't even notice the difference, because they're rich.
Great fun, did I get this right?

Re: Predictions for a Trump America
That's basically what I thought, like over here in the Netherlands, we have tariffs on electric cars from China, because they are producing them with really big government support, meaning they can sell them cheaper, trying to flood the EU market with cheap cars.
Now the sales price goes up on them, so it puts them more in a competitive situation with other EVs here, while earning the government some monies.
Which is a great deal, but blanket tariffs would be a big problem.

Mmmmh, Trump has rolled back a mandate that requires negotiations to lower costs of drugs for people that use Medicare or Medicaid.
For the people, this man, like, how can anyone not like rolling back a mandate that literally helps the people?
Man, am I happy I don't live in that country right now, because the shit Trump is doing is wild, I figured he'd slowly get into stupid shit, but this is insane.
