Perfect weather this week
I live in weather paradise.
Well, at least for this week.

If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up, why would you have to lie?

Yeah, yeah, yeah! In 6 months you'll be up to your ass in it!
Well crap! Here in western Oregon the temp is predicted to drop into the 70s on Wednesday after 104-105 on Tuesday. I was planning a trip to survey dragonflies on the Malheur River in eastern Oregon Friday through Monday, but the temps there are predicted to be 104, 103, 98, 98 so those plans are scrubbed! Camping in those temps is brutal and the dragonfly species we're looking for, will be hiding or dead.

101 to 109 hi's forecast for the next 2 weeks in my area. It's a dry heat with bearable mornings, but it gets a bit old after a few days.

Over 2.7 million customers in ERCOT grid areas are without power and the number continues to increase as the remnant of Beryl move inland.

Predicting 105 here today and 92 tomorrow. The last 4 days broke records in Portland. Four deaths reported so far. It's cool enough to mow this morning.

It was 108 yesterday, just 3 degrees shy of an all time record for Boise. Supposed to be 107 today and down to a chilly 105 by the weekend. It looks like it will move to 100 for the next few weeks which will probably make for some pretty wicked wildfires at some point.

How's your electric supply holding up? Our voltage keeps dropping below 115 and we're only hitting 90°. We had company on the back porch yesterday afternoon and evening, and at 4 PM it was 88° with a humidity of 55%. That proved to be endurable since we were sitting down, and it cooled down from there. Was only 80° by 8 PM.
This morning feels heavenly compared to past days, it's just 72°. The humidity is 87%, but we don't notice it much at this temperature.

It's great. There's plenty of hydro in the area, and I think a lot of it is sent out of the state. A decent amount of wind has also been added over the last decade. The last heat-related brown out I can remember was in 1996:
1996 Western North America blackouts - Wikipedia
Added in edit:
After some digging, it appears Idaho is an electricity importer. Consumption is 23.7 TWh while generation is at 15.5 TWh. 71% of that generation is hydro and another 12% is renewable.
