I have a Book that was written by men who were instructed by God; men who were filled with God's Holy Spirit. God told them that He created all there is. The Creator states, matter of factly, that He did this. This is an article of faith. It is false. The authors were all religious nutjobs and lying priests just like you. They are complicit in fostering this evil on humanity as are you.Stop Tzar Vladimir the Condemned!

candle2: No no, you say scientists say this. Show these scientists that say that everything came from nothing. Again, you're engaging against a strawman here. You are saying that I am wrong and that you think scientists say this... Show this to me. Show me where they say that. You can't of course, because scientists don't say this and they never have. Scientists are very comfortable saying 'We don't know, yet' If you can't show me where scientists say "Everything came from nothing" or some iteration of that, you would simply be lying then and your argument falls apart. I have a secondary question as well. Do you think we know more about nature and science than we did 100 years ago? Be it medicine, biology, chemistry, all of it.. Do we know more now than we did 100 years ago?
quote: So more lies then? You don't know about chemistry, you don't about how Abiogenesis works, you're just making up stuff that no scientists have ever said, AGAIN. Let's stick to the first question though, once we've dealt with that, let's go over this one, because man, strawman after strawman. On a side note, if you use the dBcode used in this forum, you can quote other users, so if you for instance do [quote'=zucadragon] I said this [/'quote] without the two ' You would get Zucadragon: It's a nice tool to make discussion more organised.

And absolutely atheistic scientists teach the universe came from nothing. [/candle2] --Percy

[np]
I said this
[/np] Then you'll get this:
I said this
--Percy

Percy: Sure, but do we have an example of nothing to build that on? I mean, even space isn't nothing, as far as I remember, we've never encountered actually 'nothing' or factored it in theoretically in a way that can be scientifically evaluated? At that point, it's the view of some folk who aren't making a scientific statement, but just an opinion on what they think or feel about the topic. Ooooh, the no parse thing sounds very handy, I missed that, I erm, just got back from not being around here for a long long time, I've been a massive lurker though for ages now!

Percy, I appreciate your advice. Perhaps you can give me
another piece of advice. When I am typing out my message, my message screenwill not allow me to move upwards. I cannot check what I have already written. It's been this way for several weeks. Advice from anyone would be appreciated.

I couldn't guess what's causing the problem, though often a reboot makes many mysteries disappear.
Are you entering your message in the message box in a browser window, and it's the browser window that won't scroll? If so, have you tried dragging the scroll bar, which is usually on the right side of browser windows? Does your mouse or trackball have a scroll wheel? If so, have you tried that? --Percy

Zucadrago, my wife and I had IPhone. She gave hers to
our youngest grandson. And then she took mine. I am using a Galaxy A025. I will not be posting again for 4 or 5 days, but I wouldappreciate any suggestions.

Have a good 4 a 5 days! This might be a tricky one to troubleshoot, I'll look some stuff up because right now, I don't have a clue why it won't scroll, it scrolls just fine on my own phone running android. There might be some app or setting that somehow blocks it, I'll see if I can find anything. We might have to take it to PMs though so we don't clog up a forum with possible troubleshooting stuff!

I wouldn't want to use this site on a mobile phone, it's just not optimised for it.

I have. It sucks.
What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence. -Christopher Hitchens Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up, why would you have to lie?

AZPaul you wrote (referring to Bible, and the men who
wrote it): "This is an article of faith. It is false. The authors wereall religious nutjobs and lying priests just like you. They are complicit in fostering this evil on humanity as are you." ***All historical science must be accepted by faith.Atheists take it by faith that the earth began 4.3 billion years ago. It is impossible for men, who lean on their own frailunderstanding, to say what happened billions of years ago. It is impossible for men, who lean on their own frailunderstanding, to say what happened 10,000 years ago. We, humans, sometimes rely on assumptions to fill indetails of what actually happened several hundred years ago. Humans can believe whatever we want, but what webelieve is based solely on our worldview, and not on actual science; not operational/observable science. The Bible is not a single book. In fact, it is a collection of66 books, written by slightly less than 40 authors. It was written over a period of1500+ years. Who is going to believe that all these authors, over suchan enormous length of time, would actually devote their lives to a baseless conspiracy? They had nothing to gain. In fact, many of the writers ofboth the Old and New Testaments gave their lives for their beliefs. They did what they did because they were 100% certainthat God exists, and that God had revealed Himself to them. I am certain of this same fact.

We, humans, sometimes rely on assumptions to fill in details of what actually happened several hundred years ago. You make a lot of firm statements about things you know nothing at all about. You think that makes a winning point. What it does is show utter ignorance and devalues you as a useful source of any information.

candle2 writes in Message 43: Who is going to believe that all these authors, over suchan enormous length of time, would actually devote their lives to a baseless conspiracy? Who is going to believe this? You, for one. You believe it about all the authors who over an enormous length of time composed all the religious books of all the other religions. Your belief is correct, but about all religions, Christianity included. Kennewick Man, roughly 9000 years old and predating creation according to Christianity, has been found by DNA analysis to be ancestral to the Indian tribes still living in that region of Washington state. The tribe stated the bones were ancestral when they were found and they were right. Their beliefs span a far longer time than Christianity. --Percy Edited by Percy, : Wordsmith the first paragraph - still says the same thing.
