I like French roast fine ground (almost espresso) dripped through unbleached filters. I make a single cup at a time and always drank it black, except for some Irish cream on weekends. After I retired I started adding artificial sweetener (carmel syrup) and nonfat creamer. Limit 2 cups a day. The beans I get are called Double French roast, the store also has French roast, but the double has a smoky flavor I like.
