What's that got to do with intuition? Everyone can see the behavior and responses that China makes on the world stage.
They are making allies in African and South American countries with underdeveloped industrial infrastructure, but with vast tracts of land and unexploited highly valuable mineral deposits. These are strategic minerals that are essential for advances in technology. Meanwhile, the U.S. is becoming isolationist and spiteful toward our allies and has withdrawn aid from the less developed countries and has opened the gate to Chinese aid for the third world, and this is all driven by the Republicans and conservatives in the U.S. who seem to be afraid of absolutely everything that they can possibly imagine, while intentionally ignoring the global dangers that are obviously imperilling us all!. China is spending 4 times more than the U.S. on renewable energy.

Tough. It's not our sole job to save the planet
China has bought our T-Bills and supported our inflated dollar for close to 50 years. When they (soon)dump those T-Bills back on us, you will see the result. They have lured us with cheap merchandise and allowed us to feed our standard of living at their own peoples expense! (The CCP is straight up manipulative and evil) Now you are telling me that WE should pay the bill and not them? ![]() If my vote has anything to do with it, we wont pay the bill. They will. If our economy takes a hit, theirs will also. If they want to be the next global power, they will have to work for it! The US is tired of supporting the world. (and paying most of the bills) We are not globalist leaders suckered into paying everything while our middle class suffers. (And the rich will NEVER pay the bill.) The policies you support will shift the burden onto the US middle class. But not today. Not on my watch. Edited by Phat, . Edited by Phat, . Edited by Phat, : nore graphic explanation

Phat writes: Tough. It's not our sole job to save the planet No one is saying that it is. You are claiming that China should spend more than anyone else while implying they have the most money. This just isn't true.
China has bought our T-Bills and supported our inflated dollar for close to 50 years. When they (soon)dump those T-Bills back on us, you will see the result. You assume that China dumping T-bills will hurt the US. As it stands, the US is perhaps the strongest economy in the world at the moment.
They have lured us with cheap merchandise and allowed us to feed our standard of living at their own peoples expense! (The CCP is straight up manipulative and evil) Now you are telling me that WE should pay the bill and not them? However evil you think China is it doesn't excuse your attempts to put words in my mouth. Nowhere did I say that the US should shoulder all bills. I simply pointed out that the US has more money than the China so it doesn't make much sense to claim that China should spend more than everyone else.
We are not globalist leaders suckered into paying everything while our middle class suffers. We aren't paying for everything and no one is saying that the US should pay for everything.

You do understand how the bond market works, don't you?

You do understand how the bond market works, don't you? They cannot just dump bonds. They have to sell them. Ah, but that's Phat's brilliant secret strategy, get China to dumb the bonds and eliminate the U.S. national debt.Stop Tzar Vladimir the Condemned! nwr writes: Jesus said: Love your neighbor; Phat said: It's all about me, me, me, me. We are looking at mainstream America. Phat represents American society in all it's greed, prejudice and ignorance. American religion, though giving plenty of lip service to helping the poor, appears bound to pullulate the greed, prejudice, ignorance and evil more deeply into the society. This is a long fight against bad odds but I hold hope that some day, before we bake in our greenhouse world and our species succumbs to the void, we can finally acknowledge the humanity we all share. That is my religious fantasy. In Hitchens' name, ra'men.Stop Tzar Vladimir the Condemned!

You are claiming that China should spend more than anyone else while implying they have the most money. This just isn't true. The American people have the money. The government itself is living on borrowed money. No political party has the right to take money from the people and use it to bail out the government. (And yet they will try) Sure we should invest in renewable green energy. But first we need to come up with the money to do it...to help ourselves and not everybody.

I am an American and I lament the demise of our Great Society. The Wealthy stole the American Dream from the rest of us. Im pissed!

And yet you advocate policies that make the wealthy wealthier?

When every other nation sees it happening, it will be like yelling "Fire!" in a crowded theater. The dollars days are numbered. The US dollars is one of, if not, the strongest currency in existence right now.
