My response has become super slow over the past week. Often I get a message that says there is no secure connection and to try again and then other times it says the connection timed out.

I modified some settings that I think have improved performance. Please let me know if this is good enough, or if you even notice a difference. I think there are further improvements that could be made, but it would require further investigation. For now I've moved this further down my todo list, but I'll return it to the top if necessary.

Just had a 504 Bad Gateway error. Had a few this week. I think the others were 502.

I was changing a MySQL table engine from MyISAM to InnoDB, and it caused the MySQL daemon to hang. This shouldn't happen. The website slowness and outages seem to be caused by MySQL. MySQL is a shared resource, and a new website on the server seems to be causing some MySQL instability. Things MySQL can do on my development machine are giving it trouble on the server. I'm still trying to understand this better.

Board Back Online
Updating the messages table overloaded the server and caused the website to be inaccessible while the table was being updated. I hope it was worth it and that the performance is improved at least a little.
