So? There are also many countries that we all would call socialist that are failing miserably. Venezuela is one example. I'd have to do my homework to find more, though im sure I could come up with a list. A lot depends on the attitude and mindset of the people who live there.

How would you do that?Suppose you googled an answer and you found a source showing that on several measures the US is not the great place you thought it was compared to more "socialist" countries, how would you check the source and how would you make yourself not just forget answer? Could you change your mind? Is it possible for your mind to be changed by information contrary to your beliefs?

Im well aware that the US is far from the "best" or "greatest" nation. Ive seen evidence of this in several statistical tables I have looked at. I would, however, rather bash "socialism" than I would bash the US. Socialism wont work for one simple reason. A I have mentioned before, the US spent billions upon billions of dollars for decades upon decades to MAKE socialism fail, so it wasn't exactly an even playing field. And you could do your homework to find out WHY those governments failed. You may find that it is not always because socialism is a bod thing.
