Stick to one topic and carry it through to the end. Are you saying that my posts are not articulated in a disciplined format? Nobody is suggesting burning books.What I'm saying is read the books and then discuss them. But you're NOT addressing them. That's my whole point. If you were actually thinking about the content, you should be able to discuss the rebuttals. Evidence DOES define reality, in EVERY way. Whether you believe that or not is irrelevant. Humans will always need to work.Their ability to work is their only real asset. Depressions, wars, etc. can make a mess of any "economic system" but no depression or war can eliminate a human's ability to work.

An ounce of gold will still make as many electrodes as it did in 1933 or as many wedding rings as it did in 1933.But the value is how much you can exchange it for, whether dollars or bacon. That has changed a lot since 1933 and can also change again.

As usual, you miss the point.The point is that the value of gold DOES change. It's only worth the amount of bacon you can get for it. It's "stability" depends on the same factors as the stability of the dollar.

I have mentioned to you before the dangers of self-education. Too much opportunity for confirmation bias.You need to read things you don't want to read and consider ideas you don't want to consider. You need to BE ABLE to put ideas in your own words and to BE ABLE to put forth coherent arguments for counter-ideas before you decide to add something to your synthesis of ideas.

Nonsense. As I have pointed out before, a book is always there; You can go back to a specific page or a specific paragraph or a specific sentence. You can't do that with a video. They're not that precise. I could see them on the library computer if I wanted to. I don't like them because they're a poor source of information.
