Let the critiques of the author begin.
I'm not going to waste any time critiquing yet another one of your goober heroes.
I will mention that they have books on paper now.
I'm a very slow reader. I tend to go back and forth a lot to check what it actually says on the previous page. You can't really do that with audio books.
But I do have pretty good reading comprehension, partly I think because reading lends itself better to understanding than listening does.
Moral of the story: read a book. If you MUST have auditory stimulation, listen to Guns 'n' Roses.

Come all of you cowboys all over this land,
I'll teach you the law of the Ranger's Command:
To hold a six shooter, and never to run
As long as there's bullets in both of your guns.
-- Woody Guthrie
