I don't know nor care that much about Hunter Biden, though my Trumpian Conservative friend insists it's a big deal. Trump should get indicted and put out of our misery once and for all.
Glenn may have some insights. He is an independent conservative (according to Alexa) and seems to also distance himself from Trump. Though I most definitely dislike Trump and know the chaos he is capable of and associated with, I also think Biden's kid is a buffoon and should in no way be paid taxpayer money for whatever consulting role(s) he may have. While I'm on this rant, I will say that the future of our national leader has everything to do with a New World Order, economic or otherwise.

You sound a lot like him, with your obsession with the "New World Order" and "One World Government" and your disdain for secular humanism, socialism, etc. I felt like replying to the books: [qs=Phat] Just to let you know who your bedfellows are.Come all of you cowboys all over this land, I'll teach you the law of the Ranger's Command: To hold a six shooter, and never to run As long as there's bullets in both of your guns. -- Woody Guthrie

Phat would embrace this guy.

I don't know nor care that much about Hunter Biden, though my Trumpian Conservative friend insists it's a big deal. As best I can tell, the Hunter Biden story is mostly a diversion so that people won't notice the many crimes that Trump has committed. Maybe Hunter Biden did something wrong, but there is so much hype that it is hard to tell.
Glenn may have some insights. I doubt it.
While I'm on this rant, I will say that the future of our national leader has everything to do with a New World Order, economic or otherwise. The "New World Order" seems to be just an over-hyped right wing fantasy.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

... I also think Biden's kid is a buffoon and should in no way be paid taxpayer money for whatever consulting role(s) he may have. Sorry, but what the actual fuck are you talking about? What consulting role? What taxpayer money? What the fuck are you talking about? I most certainly know of no government consulting role being set up for Hunter. Do you know of one? Or are you just being deceived by GQP disinformation again? Contrast that with Trump's kids serving consulting roles, including Jared Duschner who was given a top secret clearance despite having completely disqualified himself by lying on the security clearance investigation questionnaire (Standard Form 86 -- I've had a lot of experience with that form). Where were the screams of Republicans' fake outrage then? All I can think of that you and your disinformation sources could be thinking about is when Hunter Biden worked as a consultant for that Ukranian gas company, Burisma, and was hired onto their board. Burisma had been involved in serious corruption and was in the process of cleaning up its act. Hunter is a lawyer who had been part of a consulting firm since 2006 that dealt with international and business law. Burisma hired his firm to consult with their restructuring and put Hunter on the board of directors to serve in that role.
Burisma hired him and paid him, so why would you think that he was being paid with any US government money? So what the fuck are you talking about?
Glenn may have some insights. He is an independent conservative (according to Alexa) and seems to also distance himself from Trump. From the title you gave in Message 82, The Great Reset: Joe Biden and the Rise of Twenty-First-Century Fascism, he seems to be claiming that the rise of fascism is Biden's fault. What's his case for that? From reviews, it appears that he's just echoing your "Globalism" boogeyman, a stale rehash of the "International Jewish Communist Conspiracy of Bankers and Lawyers". Is your next anti-Semitic step to embrace QAnon's revival of the centuries-old blood libel (the false claim that Jews kidnap and kill Christian children in order to use their blood in their secret rituals -- my professor, Rabbi Kalir, told us that that is why you open the door for Elijah during the Seder, in order to allow anybody to come in and see for themselves that the wine is actually wine)? The reviews have Beck pushing his tired old New World Order conspiracy_theory; from that Wikipedia link:
quote: IOW, Glenn Beck is a known conspiracy dingbat. Also please note that it was G.H.W. Bush who announced a "New World Order" after Desert Storm, a Republican, not a Democrat. And it's the capitalists running international corporations who would benefit from globalism -- and who are moving US industry overseas which is supported by the Republicans, whereas Biden is working to bring industry back to the USA as in his recent chips act (semiconductor manufacturing). So just what the hell is he talking about? And why do you support their nonsense?

Oh, and your subtitle using the word, "liter".
Are you also anti-metric? Are you one of those fools who thinks he's being "patriotic" by rejecting the metric system? We've already seen how Republicans have misappropriated the word "patriot" to describe their own treasonous actions, including their attempts to overthrow the legitimate government of the US.

dwise1 writes: First off, you are right about the sources. I know nothing about Hunter Biden apart from what my pro-Trump conservative friend tells me. And he gets worked up over this shit! To be fair, you guys also get worked up over Trump, but I hope that they can indict him and put us all out of any future misery. To summarize: My "disinformation source" is a vocal and angry friend. I've known him for 40 years, so we talk. I rarely watch Fox News. I never watch or listen to Alex Jones or Breitbart. In case you haven't noticed, I am reading more and more books...which I purposefully do since *we* (the peanut gallery) can dissect what they say and challenge them directly on our forum. All I can think of that you and your disinformation sources could be thinking about is when Hunter Biden worked as a consultant for that Ukrainian gas company, Burisma, and was hired onto their board. Heck, I'm not even finished with Ray Dalios book yet, but I'm reading two or three at a time! I have not felt this good or strong for over twenty years! My goal is to answer Ringo's challenge of engaging in every post. I notice that he does it...look at his post count vs answered post ratio in most topics.

Oh, and your subtitle using the word, "liter". To be honest, I'm lazy and thus glad that I don't have to relearn every system of measurement, but I am in no way anti-metric. The world was America-centric for only around 30 years, and those days are long gone, as abandoned and rusted out as a closed factory in Pittsburgh.
Are you also anti-metric? Are you one of those fools who thinks he's being "patriotic" by rejecting the metric system? No, the only way I feel I am being patriotic is by exercising my free speech rights here on this forum. We've already seen how Republicans have misappropriated the word "patriot" to describe their own treasonous actions, including their attempts to overthrow the legitimate government of the US. Noted.

Glenn Beck is a known conspiracy dingbat. Nevertheless I am going to quote from his book. We can confirm that he is a conspiracy theorist if nothing else. His book is on Audible. Here is the outline:
Glenn Beck: I will address his argument using the Chapter titles as my subtitle. That's not my only book, however. I have one that I really like.
Amazon writes:
The End of the World Is Just the BeginningMapping the Collapse of Globalization By: Peter Zeihan This one I really like!

Just looking at the title and doing a little Googling (well, Duck, Duck Go-ing) confirmed that Beck is a conspiracy theorist (although I remember thinking that he was a nutter)
Wikipedia
A November 2020 article in The Daily Beast said that even before Biden became president, his "incoming White House already ha[d] its first conspiracy theory to deal with"—the Great Reset conspiracy theory.[66] Mainstream media outlets such as The New York Times,[67] the BBC,[1] and The Guardian traced the spread of the latest conspiracy theory on the Great Reset, which had integrated anti-lockdown conspiracies, to internet personalities and groups, including Candace Owens, Glenn Beck, Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson,[49][68][1][69] and Paul Joseph Watson,[70] the UK-based editor of Alex Jones' website Infowars, where he advanced the New World Order conspiracy theory.[71]

Its fair game for you guys to criticize Beck. What have you to say about Peter Zeihan, however? He certainly seems smart enough and according to Wiki "is an American geopolitical analyst and author."

Candace Owens is far smarter than Alexandria Occasio Cortez could ever hope to be. She is articulate, well-read, and blessedly conservative. You will have to show me where she ties in with the Great Reset conspiracy.

I looked at Zeihan, and while he seems better qualified than your usual sources I noted some worrying signs.
See what Kirkus Reviews had to say Wikipedia
Zeihan is enthusiastic in his writing, and he covers a great deal of territory, some of it in superficial or questionable fashion. Are countries really going to develop their own pirate fleets to seize supply ships? Will the U.S. establish a quasi-empire of the Americas, using food as a weapon of intimidation? Is China facing collapse within a decade?
There certainly needs to be more done to restrict climate change, and moving to alternative power sources. But the doom and gloom seems to be going too far.
