Unlike Pope John Paul II, Jesus didn't encourage sinners to remain on whatever erroneous spiritual path they were on.
What you said in Message 44 was, "In 1986, Pope Crazy (JP2) invited hundreds of leaders of all manner of non-Christian and pagan religions to pray with him in Assisi, Italy for world peace."
To me, that sounds like he WAS doing missionary work.

What a terrible analogy.
It's an EXACT analogy. Whether or not a bank robber puts a question mark at the end of his threat, the bank robbery is identical.

Now this is funny ... an atheist pontificating about what a Catholic missionary looks like. Laughter is the best medicine!

Thank you for providing evidence for common ancestry of primates.
I have two questions for you. How much of our human DNA are shared among all people today? And how much of it is shared with other primates?
I know I can look it up, but I'm asking you, so we can be sure that there is no disagreement on the numbers and you cannot accuse me of making anything up.

How much of our human DNA are shared among all people today?
Human DNA is a pool of all the genes and their various alleles that exist in the population. By definition the human gene pool is all humans presently alive. From there new humans will be endowed with some combination of genes from this species-wide pool.
What Taq maybe will tell you is that about 99+% of our genome is the same person to person. That last 1-% is what makes each of us unique individuals. With bonobos the shared percentage is down to 97-98% (?) the same genes in both human and primate gene pools.
If I recall the numbers right I think we share about 60% of our gene pool with onions and other plants. Give or take.

I found this Nonhuman Primate Genetic Variant Database. I was hoping to extract more exact percentages of shared DNA between nonhuman primates from raw data.
Nonhuman Primate Genetic Variant Database
But the access link gives error page for me.

What were you hoping to see in this data? What comparisons did you want to make with what expected result? Would you find significance to, say, a 99.865% sharing of genes vs a 99.832%?

I'm hoping to get a more accurate number and run different comparison methods. Also to understand the motivation behind different methods.
Then, put the numbers in a mutation model, probably some kind of Monte Carlo system, and see what data can be expected and what not.

Hubris much
So you think you are going to come to some sort of conclusion that debunks the findings of the world's leading scientists and experts in the field?

What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence. -Christopher Hitchens

Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

"God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness.

If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?
