So then as Christians we have to start with Jesus.---------
On Jesus dying for Christians, from a moral perspective.
It takes quite an imagination and ego to think a god would actually die for us, after condemning us unjustly in the first place.
Christians have swallowed a lie and don’t care how evil they make Jesus to keep their feel good get out of hell free card.
It is a lie, first and foremost, because, like it or not, having another innocent person suffer or die for the wrongs you have done, --- so that you might escape responsibility for having done them, --- is immoral.
To abdicate your personal responsibility for your actions or use a scapegoat is immoral.
Christians also have to ignore what Jesus, as a Jewish Rabbi, would have taught his people.
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
Deuteronomy 24:16 (ESV) "Fathers shall not be put to death because of their children, nor shall children be put to death because of their fathers. Each one shall be put to death for his own sin.
Psa 49;7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
There is no way that Christians parents would teach their children to use a scapegoat.
Good morals and Jesus speak against the messianic concept and bids us pick up our crosses and follow him.
Regards
DL

In the myth, the Jews took the death of Jesus on their heads.
They wanted the rewards if Jesus happened to return, which he did not do.
His suicide by cop failed, as the Romans were just doing the bidding of the Jewish temple.
"I'm sorry but I'm not clear on what point you are trying to make."
My focus was on the immorality, as stated, of Jesus asking us to abdicate our own responsibility and immorally put them on Jesus.
IOW, we have to sin to be saved.

DL

Re: Don't Gnock Jesus.
Phat
The remake is is, not Jesus.
Are these not doing what you are not recognizing as intelligent?
Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
My pet theories are based on morality.
Try to morally justify you putting your responsibility for your sins on another.
You cannot.

DL

Laudable for you, while many of the religious ignore the golden rule when it comes to LGBTQ+.
Those religions are traitors to their country as the preach against the laws of the land.

Re: What's Important enough?
"but I don't know the mind of God other that\n what we can see in Jesus."
Jesus and his Armageddon.
Do you see Jesus doing all that mass murder or curing the ill when he returns?
Do you see that Jesus as good or evil?

Re: What's Important enough?
It makes sense, given that our first "I am" moment in our dualistic reality, we would apply I am to both our physical and spiritual side.
95% of us think in a material dualism way, body souls, or body spirit or life force thinking.
Did you name your spiritual side anything?

GDR writes:

I believe God to be eternal"
I believe Yahweh is a vile prick and I can argue a good case.
If eternal, your God deserves to be destroyed ASAP.
He is a menace to all moral people.

Re: What's Important enough?
I am not fond of the genocidal prick Jesus is made to be, but if I do as you do, I can justify his genocides and his homophobia and misogyny as well.
Way to make Jesus fit any description other than the evil prick he is.
I like the Gnostic Christian Jesus. He has decent morals.

Re: Greatest I AM Ignorant?
Seems you are the confused one, given that you think only of one person when he is supposed to be 3, including Yahweh, the vilest satanic God going.
What was that about your useless and not to bright noise?
Up your apologetics or be ignored.

DL
