Was Jesus a False Prophet? | Catholic Answers
But none of your apologetics can escape from what was actually written, which you quote "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened."

... and of course we can rely on an atheist like yourself to provide an unbiased and objective assessment of the Scriptures. LOL!!
the entirety of the NT is a throwback to the OT attempting to rationalise the failed prophecies therein. Mostly Daniel.your ex hero CS Lewis does too.
What would CS Lewis know? He was so clueless he couldn't even figure out that the Catholic Church is the one and only true Church. His took his ignorance all the way to the grave.

Simple ... the search for truth. Plenty of Christians not raised Catholic convert to Catholicism. Why would he care about catholicism? He was not raised catholic. Take John Henry Newman for example, an Anglical priest and prominent theologian, academic and intellectual, who saw the light, converted to Catholicism and even become a Cardinal (which is one step less than Pope). CS Lewis would have no doubt examined the Catholic Church and her teachings, but concluded she didn't teach the truth. So he proved himself to be an ignoramus.

There was no such prophesy .... you've misunderstood the Scripture. We were talking about the passage in Matthew that tells those listening that the Messiah will return in their lifetime. You've also ignored a Scripture such as this one - "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come (Matt 24:14) - which suggests it could be a long time before the Messiah returns. But you want to believe that the Bible contains falsehoods and false prophecies, so nothing I say will change your closed and darkened mind.

""I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh." But of course now I know it to be nonsense, just like you do. Only Catholics believe it to be the actual body of Christ. Crazy people. The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."John 6:51-54 "Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you; for this is my blood of the[e] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."Matt 26:26-28 So-called Christians who don't believe in the Real Presence aren't true Christians. Their watered-down version of Christianity is unbiblical, amateurish, erroneous and fake.

How does it feel to have your arguments regularly shot down in flames by the village idiot, whose IQ is only 9? Your self-esteem must be taking a hammering ...
And your IQ is 9, so how could you possibly understand what the grown-ups are talking about?

The Left are so senseless and stupid, they think something as natural and inevitable as racism can be eradicated with "education" and laws.

Your comment amounts to a tautology: Science is methodological naturalism, and Science certainly is our currently best known method for finding answers about reality.according to you - an atheist - "reality" is methodological naturalism. So what's you're saying is, "Methodological naturalism certainly is our currently best known method for finding answers about methodological naturalism."

But ontology is science - it's the study of rebellious teeth, usually conducted by dentists.
Science is not an ontology, fool it is an epistemology.
... which is the study of the numerous New Testament epistles. So what's ya point?

How do you determine what "reality" is?
Science certainly is our currently best known method for finding answers about reality.

If the latter (reality) is determined by the former (science), they're the same thing and you have a tautology.
